Young Woo twisted and turned on her bed with her mother's teary face filling her head with unidentified emotion that made her stay wide awake. It has been like this for consecutive nights already. Before Hanbada, she wished that there's someone who she can talk to without being annoyed, Geurami has been very patient with her all through their teenage years. But now, she has Jun-ho.

Reaching for her phone on top of her bedside table, she sent a message to him asking if he is still awake though the possibility is very slim. It's freaking two o'clock in the morning and she bet that he's sound asleep. Then as she sets her phone down, it beeps. But the message is not from Jun-ho, it's from Atty. Tae Su-Mi.

She's asking why she is still up. They had exchanged phone numbers before they parted that fateful Saturday and her mother was always in touch with her. It's been more than two weeks since then but still she can't get accustomed to her mother's thoughtful messages.

Before she could respond to that message, her phone rang with Tae Su-Mi's name flashing on her cell phone screen. At first, she's hesitant to answer it but after taking three deep long breaths, she answered it.

"Hello, Atty. Tae Su-Mi." She said and she could hear her mother's soft chuckles from the other end of the line.

"Will it hurt so much to call me, Mom?" Tae Su-Mi asked. They have both agreed that she will start calling her Mom albeit reluctantly on her part because it feels like a betrayal on his father's love and trust. She confided in him about what transpired on that Saturday and he was silent for a whole two minutes before he said that it's okay if it is alright with her. He said that whatever that'll make her happy, he'll give her his full support.

"I know that we have a consensus on that matter, Atty. Tae Su-Mi... but I have spent twenty seven years without someone to call Mom. And you coming back into my life will bring changes that I am not quite sure I am ready to face." She explained. All those things that her paternal grandmother had told her before about the mother whom she thought was dead is actually alive and well. She wanted to hate her but was unable to do so. In her heart is a constant craving that one day she would meet her and now that she did, she was unsure of what to do.

She doesn't want to hurt her father's feelings and though people say that she has no empathy or whatsoever, she felt sorry for her father. He was the one who raised her against all odds, the one who pacified all the tantrums and did his best to provide everything she needed. She's a high maintenance person, even Geurami always told her that she's such a princess which makes her admire her father tremendously.

Tae Su-Mi fell silent that almost made her believe that she had hung up on her except she could hear her labored breathing. Her mother is crying. That's for sure. The first time she saw tears in her mother's eyes, she knew in her heart that she at least held some regret in her heart, especially when she asked her if she resented her for the choice she made back then.

"I really...really wanted to call you...mom." She whispered. Tae Su-Mi hitched a breath indicating that she's still there. "But give me time to process all of this. This is all new to me. Please stay with me until it's no longer awkward to call you mom."

"Of course, Young Woo. I'm sorry if I am imposing too much on you." Su-Mi said with a trembling voice.

"I was thinking about you." Young Woo blurted out.
