Author's POV:-
Gandhari who was standing at the other side of the door, as soon as heard them opening the door said in a commanding tone, "Suyodhan... Aadya... Abhi k abhi hamare kaksh mai aao. Hame tum dono se baat karni h." And went away.
Aadya clasped Bhanumati's hands who in return squeezed them a little and assured her.
Both, Aadya and Duryodhan went to the room. Duryodhan, all the while glanced at Aadya here and there, but Aadya went straight, not even taking a glance at him.
He was now very sure, she was mad. Truly mad.
They both reached the doors of the chamber when Aadya heard her maa saying, "parantu Kunti, hame ye upeksha nhi thi Aadya se." Aadya's heart broke to her words.
She masked her emotions so well, that Duryodhan who was keenly looking at his beloved also was not able to decipher her feelings. He truly became distant and has almost lost his wife. The time he should understand her whirling emotions, he let his rage take control. He messed up a big time now.
Both entered in the chamber and Aadya said, "maa..-" but was cut off.
"Aaj ek maa nhi apitu rajmata tumse prashna kar rhi h. Humne suna ki aaj kya hua. Tum khud bhi ek stree ho na, phir aisa pran kaise le sakti ho dusri stree se. Saubhagya h hamara tum jaisi putravadhu pana. Iss rajya ka tum jaisi Rani pana kintu aisi vyahvaar ki upeksha nhi thi hame. Tumne aaj hame nirash kiya h Aadya. " Mata Gandhari blurted whatever came in her mind.
"Bhanumati, Arya ke aur Pandu k bahut purane Mitra ki putri h. Rishto ki gehrai samajhti ho na. Agar ye samachar unn tak pahucha toh janti ho kya hoga? Hame toh bhay h khi koi anhoni na ho jaye." She was saying whatever came in her mind.
"Jiji.. Punah ek baar apne shabdo par-" Rajmata Kunti tried to calm his elder sister down but this time Aadya cuts her off.
She joined her hands and looked at them all. First time they felt the disappointment in her words. For herself or for them was yet to know.
