Hell and Back Together

Pushing myself up out of the crashed airplane I grunted landing on some ice below. Owen helps me to my feet resting a hand on my back beg the three of us carefully started walking across the ice. I stopped holding my hands out from my sides sensing something following us in the tree line. "Baby what is it?" Owen asked glancing over his shoulder at me. My eyes scanned the area not seeing anything until I found a clearing in the woods. Squinting my eyes I turned around slowly seeing a dinosaur I didn't recognize coming towards us. The dinosaur comes out on the ice having some weird claws. It's skin is red and grey with its eyes locked on the three of us. Any other person would have run by this point but if we do that it will likely just attack sooner.

The pilot lady pulled out a tazer and my husband grabbed his knife he always had in his belt. The strange dinosaur growled opening its mouth but instead of charging forward it swings it tail my direction first. Jumping up in the air I screamed quickly transforming into my raptor form. But it doesn't attack instead it roared breaking the ice and swimming underneath our feet. "Y/n, run!" He hollered back to me so we ran but I was much faster in this form than they are. "Oh shit!" Whipping my head around Owen falls into a hole the dinosaur had created. Bolting towards the hole I jumped into the freezing water swimming around with my raptor legs. The dinosaur sees me swimming closely to me but I swing my tail cutting it across the face. Owen swam up behind me getting pulled out of the water. He sticks his hand out for me and I give him my raptor hand until the water dinosaur bites my leg. Wincing sharply I transformed back into my human form grabbing my injured leg. Hands grabbed me yanking me up and out of the water.

"Lovebirds we've gotta go now." The pilot woman instructed seeing a way to get up into the building and away from the killer dinosaur. Moving my left hand off my ankle I see blood lifting my head up to husband weakly. "Owen you have to go. Save the girls. Leave me." He grips my shoulders baring his teeth like I was shattering his heart on the spot. "No way in hell am I doing that. Y/n, I am not leaving you here. We have been through hell and back together. I am not leaving the love of my life to die!" Gripping his wet shirt in my hands I sniffed through tears before I felt pain shot to my stomach from the baby. Maybe he was right this time. That I should have stayed home but I know I would be heartbroken if he had died and I wasn't there. "Owen, I love you too. But I - I can't walk. I'll just slow you down-" He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me to my feet. Wrapping my arms around his neck I grunted where we stumbled as quickly as we could.

Whipping my head around the ice cracked behind us with the dinosaur rushing towards us. Owen ended up dragging me inside first. Grabbing him by his shirt the pilot closed the door zapping the dinosaur away. Burying my face into his wet shirt he wrapped his arms around my waist. Death gripping his shirt I felt some more pain shooting through my stomach making me whimper. "So if she's a raptor. What does that make your girls?" The pilot asleep when he slides down the wall letting me almost pass out in his lap. He plays with my hair remembering that it would help me sleep after nightmares about the park. "Our youngest shares her blood. But the other is adopted." Closing my eyes I pray so badly that we could just be home all together and nothing else bad would happen. Like I wish I wasn't born half velociraptor anymore.

Owen woke me up a few hours later where we trampled through some forest type thing. Searching around I hear Claire's screaming so Owen pushed me to lean against the pilot lady. He grabbed the tiny dinosaurs head before it could kill her then pushing it away from her. She jumped to her feet flinging her arms around his neck crying happily. He wrapped his arms around her body. Whipping my head around the other direction I closed my eyes quickly transforming again into my other form. Lowering my nose to the ground I followed the scent I recognized. The other three followed after me not understanding what I was tracking until we could all hear a little girl screaming. Actually make that two girls. "Oh my God lisen." Claire was already in tears of happiness. Owen raised a hand resting it on my back seeing me snarl towards a truck turned upside down. There was other people inside that I didn't trust. "Y/n...easy girl. Easy, I've got ya." He reassured me resting a hand to my scaled forehead. "Mommy, daddy!" Jewels voice is the one I stayed locked on in this moment of relief.
