Episode 6: Grand Theft Mecha

The Shane Gang finally had some down time from their adventures. They decided to visit the Caravana Mall for a shopping trip. On their trip over, they started to banter about what they wanted to do for the day.

Kord stretched his arms, "Feels good to finally get a break."

"Well, we did destroy most of Dr Blakk's Titans. So he should be real busy for awhile trying to get them fixed," Eli grinned wide as they rode.

Trixie smiled big as she added, "Yeah and we stopped him from getting those Hexlets too."

"Pronto believes we all deserve this break!" Pronto proudly announced.

Mira giggled, "I'm really happy we are all able to have fun here today."

"Aye! I haven't been here since me brothers got banned and almost arrested by the Mall Cop," Katrina causally dropped.

The gang all looked to their fishy friend, sharing confused and concerned expressions between them.

"What?"

Kord broke the awkward silence as he turned to Trixie with a smirk, "I think I know where we're headed to first, right Trix?"

She smirked back, "You're so on. You're not taking my highscore from me." She sped up and rode ahead.

The rest of the group rode faster to keep up with Trixie.

As they arrived outside the Caravana Mall, they parked their mecha beasts by the entry. They dismounted and entered the building. Within the entrance, there was something that caught Trixie's eye.

"Wow... so many missing mecha beasts," she frowned as she read the notice board.

Eli looked at the board too, "That's upsetting."

Mira pressed her hands together, "Oh dear... it must be terrible to have their trusted traveling companions stolen from them."

"SQUAWK!"

The gang all spun to face the front doors where the sound emanated from.

Mira's eyes grew wide, "That sounded like Hilda!" She dashed out the doors with the gang in tow.

Outside, a pair of shady people were loading Eli's mecha Lucky into a large towing trailer.

"Hey that's my mecha beast!" Eli rightfully snapped at the men.

Kord growled loudly, "Who are you guys?"

The first shady man quickly shoved the wolf mecha into the trailer. He yelled at his colleague, "Move it!"

The other man started the bear mecha and raced off. His companion held tightly onto the back of the trailer, swinging his way to the front.

Eli shouted, "After those thieves!"

"Hop on bro!" Kord held out his hand to Eli as he rode past him, pulling the young man onto his warthog mecha.

Katrina stewed as she and Mira mounted her turtle mecha, "You can't pirate a pirate's crew!"

The gang chased after the trailer. They shot out their slug companions to halt the trailer's advancement. Their attempts were repelled by the driver and his passenger as the mecha chase carried on.

"Ugh! Watch it!" Trixie snapped as she narrowly avoided a shot.

"Kord, get me closer!" Eli asked of his cave troll companion.

"You got it bro!" Kord hit the accelerator, pacing the trailer.

Eli leapt from Kord's back onto the trailer. His fingers caught the edge of the roof. Mira followed Eli's lead, landing on top of the trailer. She took Eli's free hand to pull him up.
