The door of the hideout burst open as the Shane Gang stumbled inside. They were bruised, wounded and tired. They collapsed onto the couches. They groaned in agony as their medic, Mira, faced them. She was asked to remain in the hideout during this last distress call.

"Were you all fighting with Twist and Tad again?" she asked as she tended to their wounds.

Kord answered with pain in his tone, "Yeah."

Mira presses her hand on Kord's skin, her healing touch mended and sealed his wounds.

Trixie sighed loudly, "I just wanna take a bath."

"Same," Eli agreed.

"Pronto seconds that!"

Kord put his hand up at the thought, "I'm good."

Katrina eyed the cave troll, a mischievous smirk painted itself on her face. "I'd bet ye'd be haven one if Mira did."

"Kat!" he snapped back.

The nurse flushed red, "Um..."

The amphibianoud, the molenoid and the ginger girl all snickered.

Eli chuckled it off, "Hey, we've had a long day, lets save this for after we're all rested."

"Don't gotta tell me twice," Kord leaned back and relaxed on the couch.

Pronto cuddled up next to Katrina and picked up the remote. "I wonder what's on the TV." His stubby finger pressed the remote buttons and flicked through the channels.

"Aye, maybe we might catch the Pirates of the Undertow!" Katrina hoped.

Trixie chimed in, "Oh yeah? With Finny Depp and Marianna?"

"Aye thar be the one!"

Eli's attention turned onto the television set, "I haven't seen that movie before, sounds interesting!"

"It be the best movie ever!"

Mira giggled at her friends all crowded on the couches of the living space. She moved over to the workbench against the wall and away from the lounges. She fished out some paper and art supplies from the cupboards beside the table. She sat herself down, dipped her brush onto an ink pot and started to write a letter. Entranced by the film, the slugs poked their heads out from their hidey-holes over Mira.

A loud panicked chitter sounded as Mira yelped. Noodle, Eli's young Flopper, found himself rolling on the ink pot. The liquid from inside splashed over the pages. Noodle slipped off his ride and tumbled through the dark puddle.

"Oh! Noodle are you okay?" the nurse asked as she lifted the ink covered Flopper into her palm.

The slug nodded at her and turned to face his chaos. He let out a gasp at the letter, believing he ruined it.

Mira followed Noodle's gaze, her eyes grew bright. She spoke amazed, "Wow, it looks like a beautiful flower."

The rest of the gang snapped their necks to the commontion at the workbench.

Katrina was the first to rush over. "MirMir you alright- Aye! Did ye paint that?" she asked as she admired the picture.

She shook her head with a smile, "I did not paint this, it was made by Noodle."

By his name, the Flooper watched the slingers all share the same excited expression.

Eli praised his slug, "You made it Noodle? It's super well done!"

"Wow, it's really pretty!" Trixie grinned as she petted the slug's head.

Seeing the praise Noodle received, the other slugs leapt to the table and dipped their hands into the paint. They dragged their nubs over the paper while laughing.
