(Four Days Later...)

(Brittany's POV)

Santana is back from the Maldives with Grace and today is her first day back at work. I know she is planning on coming to see Jax today, that was the message I received from Arizona. So I know she would have contacted Santana whilst she was on vacation, so I also know that Santana wouldn't have taken too kindly to that. So I am fully expecting her to be in a rude and pissy mood. Whenever her and I would be on vacation and she was contacted by work she would go off in these awful moods and I wouldn't really see or hear her for the rest of the day. I have had to prewarn Jax of Santana's potential mood, to not take it personally. And for the love of God, do not mention the kids, me or London. Keep it strictly Doctor and patient friendly.

"It's almost 4pm, where the hell is she!?" Jax says growing more and more impatient in his hospital bed. "I am sure she will be here soon. She is probably catching up with...stuff?" I have no idea what is taking Santana so long to come and see Jax, but she said she would visit, so I trust she will. "Why are you always defending her!?" Jax snaps at me. "What? I'm not...I am just saying, I know you are worried babe, but I am sure she has other patients who's cases she is catching up on too." I say, hopeful he will ease up at my explanation. "Yeah well...she just needs to hurry up." he crosses his arms like a sulking child. At those words, the very woman herself enters the room followed by a strong of interns.

"Okay, so let's get the update." she says, not really acknowledging myself or Jax, but looking right at her group of nervous followers. "Jax Collins, 29 year old male. Mass was found on the brain after penetration to the skull from a foreign object. His body weight isn't increasing in order to have the elected surgery. His stats are stable, has been complaining of headaches for the past few days, has been given 500mg of paracetamol every 4 hours. A vitamin IV drip is replenished every 6 hours to help the patient gain the necessary weight." One intern says, Santana stands and glares at them all nodding her head. "Heaches...not putting on weight...what could that mean?" she throws another question at the group of new doctors.

"Potential growth of the mass? Spread to other areas of the body?" One intern says. "Okay...so what do you suggest Dr Nunez?" I am assuming that is the name of the doctor that has just answered. "Another head CT and a full body scan?" they say confidently. "Correct, I shall leave that in your capable hands Dr Nunez. That's all." The interns all scatter from the room, chatting amongst themselves, I am sure I heard two young doctors swooning after Santana. When we were married I just had to become accustom to people talking about my wife in that manner. I was the subject of much envy. I mean I couldn't ever blame them, Santana's beauty was and still is arresting to the eye. No matter what setting, at home, in the gym and at work. I mean today, she is wearing this most amazing beige bandeaux dress that hug her just right in all the right places, cutting off just above the knee. Her calves looking ultimately defined, elongated by her 6 inch stilettos.

"So, these headaches. How long have they being going on?" Santana asks, not looking up from the clipboard she is studying. "I don't know...about four or five days?" Jax says casually. "And have you informed Dr Kepner of these headaches?" she continues her questioning. "Uh yeah" he says. I notice something hanging out of Santana's pocket, I can't quite make out what it is, but I am sure it isn't a stethoscope. "And how are they now? Getting worse?" She says, now checking his IV drips. "About the same I guess. It's just like a dull ache all of the time." Jax says. "He's sensitive to light." I butt into their conversation. Santana's eye flicker in my direction as she pulls out an Otoscope to check Jax's ears. The very item I spotted in her white lab coat pocket is now laying on the floor. My eyes bulge out of my head as I realise it's a lacy pair of red thongs! I really don't want to draw attention to it, I don't want to make this situation awkward for anyone. Santana is still examining Jax's ears and now shining a light into his eyes.
