B.1/Ch.3-Recharge

NARRATOR'S POV

The group makes it back to the lair. April and Casey are sitting on the couch re-watching Space Heroes waiting for them to get back from patrol.

"Dang, did you guys get hit by a bus?" Casey asks, noticing them walk into the lair.

"Oh my God! You guys, are you okay!?" April asks jumping up and running to Donnie to help him walk allowing Mikey to go get ice.

"Yea, just ran into some new 'friends'." Raph says while helping Mona to the couch sounding annoyed.

" We found some mutagen then five dudettes showed up and handed our shells and tails to us!" Mikey says while grabbing ice packs from ice-cream kitty.

Casey and April look at the turtles shocked about the mutagen and the kunoichis.

" Wait, does this mean the Kraang are back?" Casey asks after putting his comic down on the couch next to him.

" We aren't sure, but who ever those girls were, they really wanted the mutagen." Leo says walking to Splinter's room.

All of them go towards Splinter's room to tell him of the patrol and the run in. Leo peaks his head into the dojo and sees Splinter dusting around the shrine of Miwa and Tang Shen.

" Father, we are back from patrol and we need to talk." Leo says now in the doorway of the dojo.

" Ah.. I was wondering when you would get ba-.Oh dear my children what happened?" Splinter says as he is putting the duster away with his tail and looking back to see the turtles all beat up.

" Come sit, tell me what happened" Splinter says, directing the turtles with his tail as he grabs his things for tea.

They all go and sit down in front of Splinter's spot with Casey and April on the far left side. Mona next to Raph on the opposite side.

LEONARDO'S POV

" We were on patrol about to finish when we stopped to take a breath due to overexertion..." I start , sitting directly in front of Splinter's spot.

"We were taking a breath when all of a sudden Donnie's mutagen detector went off causing all of us to jump." I continue while watching Splinter sit with the fresh herbal tea and glasses.

" Is that so Donnie?" Splinter asks Donnie, causing him to jump out of his daze.

"Y-Yes, the mutagen detector went off all of a sudden. When it started going off we all didn't believe it and thought it was just malfunctioning." Donnie says as he rubs his neck.

"Ahh.. I see.. so what happened to you all?" Splinter asks as he looks at all of us except Casey and April while rubbing his goatee.

"After we found the mutagen five women..five kunoichis showed up and took the mutagen after taking us all down.." I answer as I look down at the ground while blaming myself in my head.

" We weren't ready for them.. we should have trained harder" I say as I look back up at Master Splinter.

"What? How could we have been ready for that? They knew our every move!" Raph says, sounding annoyed and angry as always.

'Wait ... Their eyes.. they glowed..' I think to myself while I remember the girls' eyes.

" Did you guys see their eyes?" I ask the guys as I look at Raph.

"Yes.." all of them answer almost in unison with a little fear in their voices.

" They could be like April. They could be able to read our minds and each others." Donnie says as he scratches his head and sticks his tongue out to think.
