Y/n pov

My boyfriend, finney blake was coming over to my house for the first time. And I was beyond excited, my parents were at work so I had the house to myself for a while while I cleaned up waiting for him to arrive

I dusted my bedroom, made all the beds in the house, washed all the dishes, swept and mopped.

He sure is lucky I love him

After about 40 minutes I hear a know on the door, as I answered it pretending to was surprised to see him as if I didn't clean the entire house and perfect my appearance

I quickly ushered him inside as not to set anything in or out

As he walked into my house he looked around and came across a lump of fur sitting in the middle of my carpet

He points to it
"What's that" he says genuinely confused

I laugh it off saying
"I took in four little kittens you can hold one if you want"

He looks back at them smiles at me and states
"I can't, I'm very allergic to cats"

A few minutes later que him sniffling

"I'm sorry darling I should have told you I didn't know" I told him

I asked him if he wanted them in another room yet he insisted they stay there since the looked comfy

We were sitting down watching a horror movie since it was late, the room smelled of popcorn butter and the cheap candy we bought

I was cuddled up close to finney with a blanket wrapped around both of us

I knew finney was scared so being the good girlfriend I was I pretended I was horrified and that he was the big strong man who was gonna protect me

Eventually we drifted off to sleep but when I woke up finney wasn't there, me first though was he went to the bathroom or to get a drink

But when I looked down he was lying on his stomach close to the kittens starting at them

He had his shirt over his mouth and nose as if it were to stop his allergies

The kittens were fairly young so he knew not to touch them to much or to roughly

Yet me would tickle their bellies when the stretched or under their chins

But I've got to admit

Seeing the love of my life in the dim moonlight being as gentle as he could with some kittens made my heart melt

I could still here his little sniffles and see his watery eyes

Even though I couldn't see his mouth I knew he was smiling

And I was too.
