he's play fighting with you in the corridors at school, until he gets a little too close and accidentally punches your arm a little too hard.
"ouch!" you yelp, stepping back from him.
"y/n? oh my god i am so sorry, i didn't mean to hurt you." he steps closer, his eyes looked at you with concern and something else you'd never seen before.
you rubbed your arm slightly and smiled at him, "it's okay, eli."
"no, it's not, y/n. i never want to hurt you ever." eli confessed, reaching out to touch your arm slowly, his fingers tracing the spot he'd hurt you.
"it's really fine, promise." you replied, feeling goosebumps rise on your skin where his fingers had been moments before.
he pouted slightly, "please tell me if i ever hurt you... by actions or words, okay?"
"i will." you gave him a small smile, reassuring him.
"good... now let's go and ace this history test!" he bounced back into his usual self and hooked his arm around your shoulders as you walked together to your next class.
