I just wanted to make it very clear that I do NOT support JKR's transphobic ideology and comments. Her words have hurt countless fans who have found comfort and solace with her books and it sickens me that she thinks women's rights are under threat because of trans rights. Instead of being quiet and enjoying her billion dollars, she chose to do this instead.
I wrote this story at a time when I didn't even know about how JKR truly felt about the trans community. It was only during the last few months when I realized the severity of her words as well as her actions and how it affected the people who looked up to her and found comfort in Harry Potter. I'm an adult now and it's hard to see the author you admired as a kid turn out to be a complete and total a-hole (even the HP books are problematic and it just about killed me to see the truth). But it warms my heart that a good majority of the cast don't support her and won't back her up on her hateful ways.
My characters would not and do not support her views either. This story is a safe space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I stand with transgender individuals.
Much love
