A week later.
Your P.O.V.
I got a job near my flat. Yep, I work at SPEEDY'S as a part-timer. Why do I work there? Why? Hm? It was because my mum said,
'Honey, if you're looking for a job, try searching for the nearest ones. It will help you to adapt to the new environment. After all, it will be your first job, it will be safer if you get the night shift. You know, a lot of bad guys hang around at night.'
Mhm, I love mum. My dad too.
I only got the night shift on Wednesday and two days off on Friday and Saturday. So, what did I do in my spare time? Searching for a job, a stable one. I couldn't be always a waitress, right? And also, I had a degree. I was still young now, no one could stop ME!
John's P.O.V.
Today, I and Sherlock just done with the newest cases. We were walking to our share flat and I saw (y/n) out from SPEEDY'S.
"Hey, (y/n)!" I shouted.
"Oh, hey John. Sherlock." She nodded at Sherlock.
"(y/n)" Sherlock replied.
It seemed she was still a bit angry with Sherlock.
"What are you doing here?" I was curious.
"I work in here as a waitress. Part-timer." She answered with a little pout.
We started to walk.
"Oh, that's good, finally you got a job," I said to cheer her up.
"She doesn't like the job, John." Sherlock suddenly spoke.
"Shut up."
"No, he's right John," She seemed sad. "But it's okay, I try to search for another job that catches my interest, and a stable one."
We were already in front of the door and buzzed in.
She said goodbye and then went to her flat.
--time skip--
"You know what," I started to talk to Sherlock when we were already in our flat.
"What?"
"That girl-" I had not finished my sentence.
"Which girl?"
"(y/n), Sherlock," I sighed. "She can do your thing, deduction. Even if she's not as good and confident as you if you teach her maybe she could be better than you. She also learns criminology back at uni."
"So, you suggest that I should be her mentor?"
"Yes. And maybe she can get a job at Scotland Yard. I heard Lestrade needs an assistant." I said.
"And why should I help her, she hates me though."
"You don't understand, Sherlock. She is far away from her family and as she said she doesn't have any friends. So why don't we help her, she is also smart, smart enough to talk with you."
"Then what? I don't have friends too," I wear my surprised face." Except you, of course."
"You said normal is boring, right?"
"Yep," he was popping the 'p'.
"A couple of days ago I asked her if she really doesn't have friends, and what did she say? 'Well, I have my parents and books. They are my friends they will never leave me.' And she always wants to see a real corpse."
"Well, normal girls always want to see dresses or gowns and party, I presume." He raised his eyebrows.
"See."
"Okay. Maybe I can teach her if she's not annoying." Typical Sherlock.
"Great! I will invite her tomorrow," I started to walk to the kitchen and stopped, and be nice!"
"Fine."
