Yesterday's Rainne

CHAPTER 1

I woke up early.

Very early, as in 4:30 am. Tangina kasi ni Tia dinadamay ako sa 'get ready with me' niya.

"Good morning sleepy head!" Bati niya while we're on a call.

Binaba ko agad ito as I hear her iritating voice, I ended up staring at the ceiling.

She was the kikay type tapos matagal pang gumalaw kaya maaga siyang gumigising if she wants to look fresh na parang hindi nag tutulo laway pag natutulog.

Pero tangina! Need pa ba ako dun idamay!? Her reasoning was gumana prayers niya kaya need ko mag ayos.

May pa first impressions pa siyang nalalaman eh classmate din naman namin yun nung grade 4 kami.

Plus, I'm a natural beauty. Effortless kaya kahit di na ako mag ayos, maganda parin ako. Salamat sa magandang genes Papa!

I tried sleeping again pero hindi na kaya. I just got ready for first day of grade 10.

It’s my first time ever attending school in personal. I was always home schooled kasi eh! Pano lagi busy schedule ko noon.

Inayusan ko na sarili ko. I ended up with doing a semi-clean girl look. Okay na din siguro ito, gandahan ko na for 1 week.  1-week lang kasi next week alam ko na tatamarin ako.

I went down and ate breakfast with my dads.

"Good morning princess!" Bati ni Daddy sakin.

Daddy cooked my baon and our breakfast. While papa prepared naman my bag. Sino ba talaga estudyante saming tatlo? Mas excited pa silang dalawa sakin.

"Yra, umuwi ng maaga." Papa said, reminding me.

As if umuuwi talaga ako ng maaga these days. No media or paparazzi is stopping me, so why not enjoy my time?Tumango nalang ako then finished my breakfast.

"Pa, Dad I'll go na!" Sigaw ko sa front door.

I kissed Dad goodbye. He is a househusband kasi eh. Joke, he's just on leave, he's a Pilot, actually.

"Goodluck on your first day of school! Remember, Yves Rainne Illuna, you're not Rainne Illuna right now. You are just a normal high school student. Don't be pressured and do well okay!" As Dad bid his goodbyes to me.

I got into the car. Papa was the one driving. He's gonna drop me off sa convenience store kasi I'll meet my friends pa.

Papa is a professor sa SLU, he can't drop me off all the way to the school, he's gonna be late if he does that.

My mind drifted off sa sinabi ni Daddy kanina when he said his goodbyes. It reminded me that I'm not a celebrity...... anymore. 10 years went into drain just because of that one accident. Okay na din siguro yun... I can live a normal life, finally.

I moved back with my dads sa Baguio, my hometown, and left my Mom in Manila, she is disappointed with me, after all.

That was a year ago, I think? I made 3 friends and has already adjusted sa Baguio, all because of Tia. But you know what? Madaldal naman ako, madadagdagan naman siguro 3 friends ko.

I still have some of my friends mostly from showbiz naman pero they’re all in Manila or QC. Arghh basta sa baba!

I met my friends in a convenience store. Masyado pa kami maaga so tumambay dun.

They were so excited for me kasi classmate ko daw crush ko. Ako din naman but I'm keeping it inside! Siguro sa hapon nalang.

Study first sa umaga, hi crush sa hapon!
