Chapter 4

Nila was killed.

The sound of inserting the key in the keyhole.

Shiva enters and was shocked to see Nila was lying unconscious in the middle hall. He tried to wake her up by sprinkling the water. But it ends in vain. He took her to the Hospital. The doctor examined her and asked to take her to the psychologist because she was too stressed. The doctor recommended her psychologist friend and got an appointment for Nila.

He took her to the Psychologist George Sylvia. Shiva tells everything about Nila. But Nila was still unconscious.

"How many years have you been married?" Sylvia questioned him.

Mam, not in years. It's just 8 months, Shiva replied.

Sylvia: Whether she shares everything with you?

Shiva: If I ask anything, she will say. Otherwise she voluntarily tells nothing. She is not sleeping well.

Sylvia: Maybe she has the darkest stress. Okay, I will examine her and tell. Whether she is working?

Shiva: No doctor. She is studying. And her age is just 19.

Sylvia: Love marriage.

Shiva: No it's an arranged marriage. Her parents didn't let her study further. They got Nila married to me.

Sylvia: Okay. I have to give her sedatives. You can watch our session through the glass door. A few minutes later she came to a conscious state. And after half an hour the doctor gave her sedatives.

The doctor established a silence in the room. It was quiet. She started asking her questions to Nila who was in a hypnotised stage due to sedatives. After half an hour, the doctor ended the session and woke up Nila. She was a bit tired. Sylvia asked her to feel comfortable and relax. Meanwhile she went out and spoke about Nila's condition to Shiva.

Sylvia: You must have seen what happened through the glass door. Through this session I came to know about Nila's sister Bhairavi's death. One can only understand the pain of having a close relationship die in front of their eyes. When Nila is alone, there is a negative thinking and many illusions run in her mind which can hurt herself.

Shiva: Is there any treatment for this doctor?

Sylvia: Counselling and I need some more sessions. She doesn't say what her innermost thoughts are. Something prevents her from being unconscious. If we know a little about it, we can give it appropriate medicine. Now I just give her a pill to sleep peacefully. Don't leave Nila alone. Give her the pill that I give you by yourself. After three days, bring Nila to the second session.

Shiva: Okay doctor.

He took Nila and went home. Nila acted as if nothing happened to her. After she ate, he gave her the pill and put her to sleep. He requested his MD to give him work from home. Shiva doesn't want to leave Nila with her parents.

Shiva asks Diwakar to find out about Meera, who studied with them during college, but they don't know about her as she dropped out of college in her third year. No one knows the reason for her dropout. Diwakar sought help from his closest friends to find the whereabouts of Meera.

"May I come in?"

Nila: Rudra, Hii...please come in

Rudra: You don't have to say it, I know to come inside.

Shiva: Yeah, come Rudra. Is all your anger gone?

Nila went to make her coffee.

Rudra, 22 year old, who completed her degree in foreign so called foreign return. She is cousin to Shiva and has had a huge crush on him since her childhood. Even though she is his cousin, he considers herself as his sister.

The family didn't inform her about Shiva's marriage. So she was very adamant and shocked to hear about his marriage after her return. Shiva's father Manohar died when he was in 12th standard. Shiva's mother Chandra brought him up as a single mother. She didn't seek help from his relatives. But Chandra's own brother Devan(Rudra's father) helped her financially. Although she gave the money slowly after doing some little work in the company and after Shiva went for work. Now Shiva and Chandra are financially stable.

Rudra: Shiva, you know how much I love you. But why did you get married without my permission?

Shiva: Please Rudra. Don't start from the beginning. I considered you as my sister and why should I get permission from you. This is my own decision.

"Coffee", Nila placed the coffee for both and went inside.

Rudra: We fought that day. But now she acts like nothing happened in front of you.

Shiva: Please Rudra. Don't dig into my anger. It's enough. Please understand her, Rudra. How polite she is, even though she is younger than you.

Nila shouted. They both ran into her room.
"What happened Nila", Shiva asked

"There is someone behind the window"

Shiva runs near the window and tells Nila that there is no one there.

Rudra is enraged saying how she is deceiving you by pretending to be innocent, Shiva. Shiva looked at her angrily. Do something you want. She said and went out quickly.

Days later. Shiva took her to the second session of counseling. Shiva reports that a few days ago, someone ran towards the road from behind the window when Nila screamed. Shiva did not want to argue it before Rudra. So Shiva said to Nila that no one was there

"Okay let me start the session", Dr. Sylvia said. Meanwhile his friend Diwakar phoned him. But he didn't attend and messaged him that he was in the hospital.

After the end of the session.

Sylvia: Nila says there is something mysterious about her sister's death. She says it was not an accident, it was a planned murder and setted it as an accident. But when I ask deeply about it she loses consciousness. So I stopped.

Shiva: Is she well?

Sylvia: Yah, nothing to worry. She is fine. You can take her to your home.

An hour later, he took Nila to a place where there was no one.

Nila: Akka....

She went and hugged someone.

Shiva: Hey Nila Nila.

"Who are you?".....
