Ch 7

Once the show is over with and I wait for Taeyang to change back into street clothes I'm handing a tired Lawson over to Chan. "Now if he wants he's allowed a sippy cup of watered down juice. Make sure you have him go potty before he falls asleep or he'll have an accident and make sure he has his stuffed fox Rory or he won't sleep through the night." Chan immediately gives me a reassuring look and cuts me off before I can say anything else. "Calm down Shade. You'll only be gone a few hours at most I can handle him until then. Now relax and go have some fun. But please not to much fun." I immediately blush and slap his shoulder. "Shut up we're just going out to dinner." He smirks at me. "Yeah but you never know what exactly dinner can lead too." I give him a look. "Chan I'm not gonna sleep with someone I barely know." He shrugs. "He's your mate you never know what your wolf will do." I go to say something when he suddenly cuts me off. "Oh look your man's coming. I'll leave you guys to it while I go put little man to bed." He suddenly turns and runs off with my son and the other Stray kids members. I shake my head then turn around giving Taeyang a little smile as he approaches he smiling back at me. "Hey you ready to go?" I give a little nod. "Yeah definitely." He smiles then leads me out of the building putting on a cap and mask once we're outside. We then start heading down the street and towards a restaurant Taeyang opening the door for me I thanking him as I enter he following behind me. We get seated pretty quickly since it's late and not many people are out I taking a seat across from Taeyang and we tell the waiter what we want to eat and drink. Once we're left alone Taeyang takes his mask off and I can't help but to fidget a little anxiously. Suddenly Taeyang gently takes my hands in his and looks at me in concern. "You alright?" I take a deep breath and nod. "Yeah sorry it's just weird not having my son around. I mean I trust Chan with him but I'm scared he'll get upset not having me tuck him in tonight." Taeyang gives me a little smile and gently squeezes my hands. "I'm sure he'll be fine. He seems like a very understanding boy and like you said you trust Chan. But if you need to call and check up on him you can go ahead I don't mind." I take a deep breath before giving him an appreciative smile. "Thanks. But I think I'll just trust Chan." He nods then gives me a curious look. "How did you and Chan meet?" I smile a little. "We've known each other since we were kids. He's been there for me throughout everything. From my presenting to Lawson's birth. He's basically the big brother that wasn't biologically given to me." I can see a slight relief flash through Taeyang's eyes but I don't comment. Instead he changes the subject. "What about Lawson's father?" I immediately make a face and sigh. "I was young and stupid and got manipulated into being with him because he used flashy things to get my attention and claimed he was my mate. I wasn't a very bright eighteen year old. And when my heat came he kinda took advantage of it and next thing I know I'm pregnant and he's gone leaving me with a pup." I can see Taeyang looking angry and sympathetic he giving me hands a gentle comforting squeeze. "You weren't dumb you were used and like you said manipulated. That jerk took advantage of you. I mean it's nice you at least got a good thing out of it but if I ever see this guy I'll give him more than a few choice words." My lips twitch up into a little smile I giving a soft thank you then reluctantly pull away when the waiter comes with our drinks and food. We immediately dig in eating happily and once we're finished I go to get my wallet out when Taeyang stops me having already gotten his card out and hands it over to pay. I go to protest but he just gives me a smile. "It's fine I don't mind paying for the date." I blush a little at the word date and mumble out a "thanks." We then get up and exit the restaurant deciding to just walk around for awhile. We chat about our interests and likes as we walk until I check the time seeing it's really late and frown. "I should probably head back." He nods and calls a taxi to come pick me up we both waiting for it to show up. When it does Taeyang immediately rushes to pay the fee I giving him a slight look but he just smiles at me. "I'm not letting you use your money when you said you need to save it for an apartment." I reluctantly give in then boldly step forward and kiss his cheek telling him I'll text him later before getting in the car and tell the driver to go on leaving a surprised Taeyang behind as I leave.
