~Next Day~
I woke up early today not that I could sleep. I was kept thinking about what happened last night. Was I the only one that felt a weird tension between us? Was it tension or it's all in my mind because he was my childhood crush ( child if you consider a 16yo). I can't let this stupid tension ruin my chances in formula 1. If I leave McLaren it's over for me all the other teams will consider that I am a horrible driver that didn't even make it to the whole season. Right? I can't let this happen I will forget everything about it and I will continue my work. Whatever that was I need to forget it and ignore it.
It's time for breakfast so I dress up for the day, I lock the door and I got in the elevator alone. After a few minutes I get out of the elevator and walked to the cafeteria of the hotel where I saw several members of the team. I waved to most of them and I went to get some food. Then thank god I saw Amelia walking in "Good morning El" she said " Thank god you are here" she looked at me confused "Why?" We walked towards an empty table and sat "Because I can't face Daniel right now" she raises her eyebrow "I thought nothing was happening between you two" I sigh "I know but last night he knocked on my door and we were really close to each other" I said a little stressed " Listen Elena I think that that's who he is okey there might be a tension between you two but in my opinion you shouldn't assume anything yet"
I nodded " You are right that's what I'll do .How do you  find the right things to say?" she laughed "I am a journalist it's my job" she said
" huh I never thought of that" she looked towards the door I followed her gaze and saw Daniel and Michael. Oh shit. "Are you staring at Michael or am I dreaming?" She looked at me with wide eyes "What no! I just wanted to warn you about Daniel" I rolled my eyes "Yeah sure" I gulped when I saw Daniel walking to us " Good morning girls"Daniel said "Good morning" Amelia and I said in unison.
"Hey" Michael said "hey Michael" Amelia said looking at him, me and Daniel looked at each other confused and laughed a little when we realized. I guess I can't ignore him but we could be friends."What's up?" Michael said "Nothing" I said he looked at me suspicious "Well anyway can we sit here ?" Daniel asked I looked at Amelia "Umm sure" I said.
They sat down Daniel next to me and Michael next to Amelia "So are you nervous about tomorrow?" Daniel asked me "Yeah a little bit but I am so excited to get in the car"I said and he nodded "You will do great I am sure" he reassured me and touched my hand. My heart started racing and I felt a weird feeling in my stomach. "Th-Thanks I hope so" I said nervous. He smiled and released my hand. Then me and Daniel realized that Amelia and Michael were talking a little too close to each other. "What's up with them?" He said "It seems to me that they have a little crush" I said and smiled he laughed "I will interrogate Michael about this" I chuckled "Same with Amelia". We continue eating.

And while I was eating I thought that me and Daniel are just friends and teammates and he is being nice to me that's all I don't have to overreact ,my job is important I don't want to lose it from some childish behavior of mine. "So how are you feeling about the upcoming season?" I asked Daniel he sighed "To be honest I really wish I get more podiums this year and high positions on the grid. After I left Red Bull things been tough" He said "Do you regret it? Leaving Red Bull?" I said and he sighed again "If you asked me two years ago I would have said no, but yes I kinda missed Red Bull and Max as a teammate. But Red Bull wasn't always fair to me and that pissed me off so If I went back in time I don't know if I would change any of my decisions" he said and I nodded "interesting" I said and he smiled "what about you in what team do you want to go in the future" Daniel asked me "Ferrari has always been the dream for me. It actually was my fathers dream and it passed into me I guess." He smiled "that's sweet" he said "shut up" I said and pushed him a little.
"Guys I don't want to interrupt your flirt but it's time to go Daniel has to train" Me and Daniel looked at Daniel. "We weren't flirting geez" I said Daniel just rolled his eyes and got up from his chair "See you later girls" Daniel said I waved and they left.
"It seemed like flirting to me" Amelia said
"Amelia seriously you were the one to say not to jump in conclusions" she shrugged her shoulders I looked at the time "oh shit I have to go too" I said I forgot I had training " Don't forget we have interviews this morning and you will also meet your photographer in training she will take some pictures of you for your social media" Amelia informed me "Thank you bye" I waved and went to find Calli.
"Calli hey" I said when I found her outside the hotel waiting for me "hey how are you?" She said "I am well" she nodded "okey so today I you don't have a very hard workout just some essentials we don't want you in pain for tomorrow. So first you will run for about 30 minutes and then we will go to the gym for some exercises for the neck and I will explain the rest after you finish your run" I nodded "Okey" I putted a timer and some music and started running. And I thought about the testing tomorrow I mean is just some tests I don't have to worry about it I was more excited than anxious I have been waiting my whole life for this moment. I wish my dad was here to see me. Of course I would want my mom too but after my dad died she wasn't the same we often got into fights and I couldn't wait for summer to go to my grandparents but I love her I know she was in pain after the loss of my dad . Her and my dad were very close not like other couples I think they were soulmates and they had struggled so much to have a baby when I was born they were so happy and they named me Elena which means "shining light" because as they used to say I brought light into their lives. Time passed and I didn't realized it when the timer stopped and I stopped running. I took some deep breaths and drank some water from my water bottle and started walking back. The weather was good thankfully I hope it is like this for the race and the testing. I went back to Calli and some other lady was waiting for me too. "Hello I am Alison I will be your photographer for this season. I talked to Amelia too" she greeted me with a smile " hi Alison it's so nice to meet you, yes Amelia mentioned that you will be here" she smiled she seems nice " Okey I don't want to interrupt your workout so I will just take a couple pictures of you doing exercises and then I am going to send them to Amelia who is going to post them on your ig"
I nodded "okey great" I looked back at Calli
who gave me a number of exercises to do. And she watched me doing them so she was sure I did them right. While Alison took a couple pictures of me. I always get so tired and bored to do all this exercises I just want to go back to the hotel and sleep. "Elena come on you can do it 30 more seconds" she said "Ugh I hate the plank"I said "yes but this is what makes you strong" I scoffed "no it is not" "and.........done" I fall to the ground "finally" "stop complaining Elena you know you need to do it" I get up "yeah I know" "okey so we are done for today get some rest"
Calli said "Great " I said and took a ship from my water bottle. "I will go for a walk around the city. Alison it was great meeting you.See ya!" She smiled and left. "Elena I have to say the pictures turned out great I didn't think a person could be pretty while working out" she said "Really? Thanks can I see them?" She nodded "Yeah sure" she took out her camera and showed me the pics " Wow there are very nice amazing job" she smiled "thanks but between us you chose the wrong job, the camera loves you" she said and I laughed "I wouldn't trade f1 to anything else" she smiled "that's the spirit to walk in the new season" I chuckled "I wish I could stay to talk a little more but I am so tired" I said "Oh no worries see you around bye" she said I waved at her and she left.I packed my stuff and left the gym. Calli was a nice person she is nice but I don't think we would ever be best friends or anything like that it's just that our personalities don't match. Alison seems nice I will get to know her more. But thank god I found Amelia now that Margot is not here I didn't have anybody to talk to and it was horrible because I am not a very sociable person until I meet someone. I cleared my mind and walked into the hotel and went to my room took a quick shower and jumped on my bed to relax. I've been waiting for this since I started doing squats.
I took a a nap and when I woke up it was noon and I had a missed call from Amelia. I call her
"Hey what's up?" "You have an interview in an hour come to my room so I can prep you" she said "okey okey". I putted on some clothes and did my hair and I putted on a little makeup for the interview and went to Amelias room. I knocked on her door she opened with an anxious expression "Come on I need you to answer some questions so I know you are ready" she said and let me in "Okey relax"
I sat down on a chair and she started telling me about the interview "So it's a BBC interview and is very important not to swear and not to get angry I believe they are going to ask you some questions about being the only girl and stuff like that so please don't get angry and answer the question as calm as possible. Also don't give many details with your answer keep it simple if they need to know something more they will ask you. Elena are you paying attention?" she said I was lost in my thoughts "Yes I am I understood" she nodded "Good. Now it's time to leave so let's go". The interview went well they asked me simple questions and I answered as I was told from Amelia.
After the interview me and Amelia went a walk to the city to eat some lunch. " I think it was a bad idea" Amelia said "Yeap I forgot about paparazzi and fans. Let's go back to the hotel" she nodded and after I signed many autographs and took some pictures with fans we left. We went back to the hotel and ate some lunch but it was already afternoon. After we talked for a little about tomorrow's busy plan we went back to our rooms to sleep and relax since we had to wake up early. It was 8pm. I walked into my room I putted on some pjs and laid on my bed and opened the tv to watch a movie. As I was looking for a movie I heard a knock on my door and went to open.

"Daniel what are you doing here?" I said confused  "Hello to you too" he said and walked in my room, I closed the door behind and followed him in. "Oh great what are we watching?"he said when he noticed the tv "I haven't chose yet, but what are you doing here again?" I asked "It's called teammate bonding" he said in a duh tone "Nah I was just bored and your room is next door so here I am" he continued "Whatever come in, so what do you want to watch?" I said ignoring the fact that he barged into my room. "What about friends?" He said "Yes i love that show" I said and jumped on the bed and laid down he putted on friends and came to sit to the bed next to me. My heart started beating fast from his sudden move but it felt nice. After a while I closed my eyes and fell asleep. "Goodnight" Was the last thing I heard Daniel say.
