I couldn't sleep much last night and I have to be at the paddock at 9 o clock. But I couldn't stop thinking about last night, Daniel, he was so jealous with Pierre and I don't know how to feel. This flirt could ruin everything, not Daniel since he is better than me and older and have more experience but this could end my career with McLaren and maybe other teams in f1, but I can't help it when he looks me in the eyes and whispers in my ear the only thing I can think about is him.  A knock on my door got my out of my thoughts I went to open and Amelia and Allison barged in my room. "Good morning?" I said confused and closed the door behind me "Good morning sleepyhead" Amelia said "I wouldn't say that I couldn't sleep all night I only got a few hours of sleep now" I said and rubbed my head "And why is that?" Allison asked me " Well last night me and Daniel" I said and they exchanged looks "geez not what you think. He took me to meet some other drivers and we stayed until late and he called me beautiful and I couldn't stop thinking about it" I said and covered my face with my hands " oh my god" Allison said "I knew there was something between you two I could see it from the photos I took you yesterday" she said " El it's going to be fine don't worry and don't stress about it just focus on your job and if something happens then let it happen. You want something to happen between Daniel and you right?" Amelia said and I nodded hesitantly "then you have nothing to worry about" she said I shook my head " I would like something to happen but I can't risk my job and my reputation. Imagine all the websites saying Elena Grey hooks up with her teammate in her first year in formula one" I replied "Elena no that's not going to happen" Allison said "How do you know" I said "I am sure that you are not going to lose your job and the websites always write bad things you know that" Allison continued " I don't know I don't want to risk it you know I had a very hard time until I got into formula one I even dropped out for a year" I said "why did you dropped out? I thought you loved the sport and you never care what people ask you or think" Allison asked me " I-I will tell you another time" I tell them and they looked at me confused "are you okey you turned white" Amelia said "um yeah I am. So what made you barge into my room?" I said to change the subject " it's 8 o clock and you weren't down for breakfast so we came to wake you up" Amelia said "oh and we brought you some coffee too" Allison said " ITS 8? and we are standing here chatting" I run to the bathroom took a cold shower I brushed my teeth I washed my face I changed my clothes. "Time?" I asked while I was braiding my hair "8:30" I will do my braids later. I get out of the bathroom grab my phone and my bag and the coffee and went and opened the door " come on what are you waiting?" I said to Amelia and Allison and they quickly got up and went out the door, I closed the door and we hurried to the elevator and got out of the hotel to my car.

We walked into the paddock ,cameras recording me, that's getting a bit annoying.
I walked in the garage and immediately went into a team meeting which they told us what we should check today so in next weeks race the car will be perfect. Daniel was across the room I tried to avoid eye contact although I knew he was staring at me. After a little when the meeting ended I walked out as fast as I could to avoid any communication with Daniel. I am so confused I don't know what to do. As I was walking in my drivers room and close the door I see a foot stoping the door from closing. "Hello?" Daniel "Hey Daniel" I said trying to be cool "Are you okey?" he asked "Yeah why?" I said and took a step back as he moved forward to my room "You act weird. Did something happened?"he asked confused " No everything's amazing" Why would I say that I am stupid. "Okey I guess I will see you after the testing" he said and walked towards the door "Yeah, bye" I said and he left. I took out a breath I didn't know I was holding. That was the most awkward thing I've experienced. I have to end this situation it won't have a good ending in my career.

Now I have to focus on the testing so I can gather information for the team. I wear my race suit I get to the car trying not to think about it. I was so excited to race again I couldn't wait. I did a total of 70 laps and went back to the pits. We faced some troubles with the car but I talked to the team and it will be fixed. "Elena you did well, I saw you" Amelia told me "Thanks Amelia. So...interviews?" I said "You know it so only two interviews you can handle it" she said "anything I should watch out for?" I asked I am not good with giving interviews "Yeah the usual: don't swear don't get angry don't say stupid things" she answered "Gee thanks" I said and we walked to the first interview where I saw Pierre giving an interview he looked and smiled at me and I smiled back. After he finished the interview he came to talk to me "Hey Elena" he said with his French accent "hey Pierre how are you doing?" I asked him "Pretty good but I would do better with you by my side" I laughed a little " Just kidding" he continued "So you and Ricciardo still together huh?" He asked "What no we are just friends as teammates nothing more. Why you ask?" I asked "My offer to take you out sometime is always available that's why" he said " Well I will think about it but don't get your hopes up" I said and saw Amelia waving at me to go to the interview "Okey I will take it as a maybe then" he smiled "Oh I have to go talk to you later" I said and he told me goodbye and left. I walked to Amelia she had an anxious look on her face "oh my god Elena what took you so long come on you're late" she said and a man started asking me questions. About an hour later I was done with the interviews and went to eat something.

As I went there I met Lando " Lando hey" I said
"Elena" he said enthusiastically and I laughed a little "how are you ?" he continued "I am good tired and a little hungry a" I said he smiled " Well wanna go eat lunch together?" he suggested " Yeah sure" we went to eat and when we sat to the table we started talking again " So you and Daniel?" he said " Why do all people ask me that. No nothing's going on with Daniel" I said " Well you seem like you like each other and on the dinner the other night you guys seemed really close" he explained "Well, we are just friends that's all and the flirting was just the wine talking " I said looking down " It didn't seem like you were drunk. Well do you want to be something more than friends?" He asked me
"Maybe I don't know, he was my childhood crush that's hard to hide" I said and he smiled sympathetically " It's okey Elena I get it. But I believe you should follow your heart and let it lead you to whatever you want" he reassured me " Yeah I guess you are right" I said and we started eating and talking about random stuff.

After we ate we said our goodbyes and I went to the hotel to rest. When I walked in my room I fell on my bed, I was so tired I could sleep all day. I take a quick shower I brush my teeth do my skincare and wear some shorts and a T shirt. I jumped on my bed and open the tv to see a movie when I heard a knock on the door. "What's up?" he said "What do you mean?" he walked in my room " You know what I mean Elena" he said "No I don't Daniel" I answered "Why do you keep avoiding me? I though we were friends or something" he said "I-I am not avoiding you I was busy and now I am very tired so can you please go?" I said and he raised an eyebrow "Again trying to avoid me okey well goodnight" he said " Wait Daniel I am not avoiding you really I was busy and I do think we are friends" I told him, he looked at me "It didn't seem like it" he said "I am being serious" (well kinda) I said "Okey then you want to do something together because I am super bored" he answered casually like we didn't have that prior conversation " Sure what do you want to do?" I asaid I couldn't deny he would think I was actually avoiding him. He smiled "What about a stroll in the city?" he said "Sure I guess, just let me get ready first" he looked me up and down "I think you look just fine with that" I smiled "Yeah right. It will take me one minute to change just wait for me here" I said "Okay I'll be waiting".
I changed my clothes put on some mascara, we got out of the hotel and began to walk.
"So why did you chose f1?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow "Oh no I didn't mean it like you don't belong here I was genuinely asking about-" I cut him "Relax I wasn't offended I know what you mean" I said and he looked relieved " It's because of my dad we used to watch together and it was his dream to drive but he never got the chance so it kinda became my dream too" he smiled "Your dad must be really proud of you" he said "Yeah well I hope so" he looked at me confused "What do you mean?" He asked "He died when I was younger" I said and looked down it was always hard for me to say it no matter how many years had passed " oh" he said and stopped walking, he hugged me tightly and I smiled when I smelled his cologne it felt good to be in his embrace "Thank you" I said in the hug, he let go of me "Of course I mean were friends after all" yay friends I smiled "Yeah we are friends"
After an hour walking and talking about formula one and our families it was getting late. Once we got to our hotel rooms he hugged me again and said goodnight I also said goodnight and we parted our ways to our rooms.
I laid on my bed frustrated, hugging him was so nice I don't want to be his friend I can't deny it anymore.

I have a crush on Daniel Ricciardo.
