There's so much coffee. Where did it all come from? Oh well. Not like I'm complaining. Oooo is that a triple shot espresso?
There are so many types... Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Frappuccino, Cafe Mocha, Caramel Macchiato.
"Huh?" I'm jolted awake by Ezekiel shaking my shoulder. I'm still in bed, the bright lights from the open blinds peaking in. Ezekiel must have opened them. Jeez, is it already Monday? Ezekiel is already dressed, his orange hair still messy.
"Get up sleepy head. I already gave you 10 extra minutes. There's coffee in the mini fridge." He says, starting to walk away. "Also, Arlo is waiting in the cafeteria for you." I immediately get up, eager to see my boyfriend. Ezekiel chuckling at my reaction, goes outside to wait for me.
Sitting up, I yawn, brushing my hair out of my face. I look at the clock, seeing that it's already 8:10. Getting out of bed and walking over to my closet, I pick out some jeans with a gray and white baseball T-shirt.
I look in the mirror, running my hand through my hair to fix it. I then go over to the sink to brush my teeth. Damn, I still look like a zombie. Oh well. Coffee will help. Speaking of coffee, I go out into the main dorm area and open the black mini fridge in the corner and pull out a cold cappuccino I had made during the weekend for today.
As I open it up and sip it, Ezekiel walks in. "Coffee Bean Boy," he snickers. I roll my eyes at him, choosing to drink my cappuccino without murdering someone today. Bonus points for me I guess. I glance at the clock. I should probably go. Everyone else will be at the cafeteria by now.
I feel Ezekiel's eyes follow me as I leave to grab my backpack and phone. My phone buzzed with notifications; a group chat being spammed for me to get to the cafeteria. "I'm coming, I'm coming..." I mumble, putting my phone in my pocket. I open the door and start walking out.
Ezekiel trails behind, telling me something in Latin. I only sigh and try to ignore him. The halls of the dorm building are buzzing with early morning conversations, fellow students chatting as they head to class early or go to the cafeteria.
As we approach the cafeteria, I see some of our friends there already waiting. "Damn, took you two long enough," Elise says from her seat.
"Would'a gotten here sooner if coffee bean boy here could actually get out of bed." I roll my eyes at Ezekiel's comment.
I sit down in the free space next to Arlo. "Morning, babe," I greet sleepily, leaning my head on his shoulder. Arlo chuckles and plays with my hair a little. I lean into the touch, humming a bit in satisfaction. I smile, closing my eyes as I start to feel more sleepy.
"Hey, you up?" Caleb asks.
"Hmm? Yeah, I'm up." I reply sleepily, rubbing my eyes. Sitting up, I see that everyone is here. Sarah was coming back with a few plates with some breakfast on them. I sipped my coffee, grabbing a plate with chocolate doughnuts and bacon. Before I could even take a bite, Arlo bit out of it, giggling.
"Hey... My donut." I complain light-heartedly.
Arlo chuckles softly. "Here. You can have a bite of my honeybun." He holds the honeybun to my face, and I take a bite of it.
I look across the table. Elise is animatedly talking about some guy in her math class. Mordecai is next to her, listening with a hand on her shoulder so she doesn't get too worked up about it.
"Elie, do you need me to have a chat with him?" Sarah says sweetly. Not many people outside of our group would notice the traces of venom in her voice.
"Thanks, but it's fine. I don't wanna have to break you out of prison haha."
