Merriment dances in the air,
Waiting for the divine arrival,
Of Shyamaatmika.

The breeze of Barsana sings in rapture,
For the darling of Vishnu herself was to appear,
To fill the entire Vraja with prosperity abundant.

Gracious was the sacred Yamuna,
In whose banks did Vrishabhanu find a beautiful newborn,
Laying on a giant golden lotus,
She shone like a million suns put together.
Her melodious gurgles melted his heart.

The gods above had blessed him and his wife,
With tears of paternal love in his eyes,
He took the infant to his dwelling.

Vrishabhanu Laali,
She was his auspicious princess,
KirtiDulaari,
She was her little soul.

Proud parents to the little one were Kirti and Vrishabhanu.
Even then,
Worry seemed to grip their hearts,
For their daughter did not open eyes,
Ever since she was brought home.

Until one fine day,
The precious son of Yashoda,
The raincloud hued Nandanandana,
Arrived at their residence.

A miracle it was in the people's eyes,
One touch from his small hands,
She fluttered open her lovely eyes,
Meeting his bright ones.

Hari was delighted to see his Jeevika,
As was Sri to see her Pranesha.
This was a meeting – euphoric.

The first sight she beheld in the realm of earth,
Was of her beloved Shyama.
As was the wish of Gopali,
Back then in their sweet Goloka.

And Radha she was named,
One of the many Krishnapriyaas of Dvapara had arrived.

Radha Radhika,
Her name originates from Aradhana itself.
The quintessence she is,
Of devotion pristine.
The utterance of her very name provides serene ecstacy,
She is the supreme lord's bliss personified.
