"Nikki! Nikki get up!" I heard my dad yelled. I started to open my eyes.
"What?" I moaned as I turned over.
"Breakfast is ready. I think you should eat it before it gets cold. I have a court trial today so you're going to be home alone, okay?" Dad said. I sighed.
"Yeah, okay." I sighed. I saw Dad smile.
"Good girl. Now go eat. I'm leaving now, so be on your best behavior, okay?" Dad asked. I finally got enough energy to lift up myself in my bed.
"Okay, I will." Dad bent over and kissed me on the forehead. "And don't hang out with that James kid, I don't like him." Dad blurted. I laughed.
"Okay, I won't." I stated. He nodded.
"Okay, I'll be back around three. Have fun."
"Bye." I said. He stood up and left my room. I got up and looked out my window. I saw Dad walk out of the house, swinging his key ring around his finger. He unlocked the door and got it. I saw the lights of the car light up, and him take off.
Finally, he's gone.
I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. I picked up the phone and dialed a number. I put the phone up to my ear.
"Hello?" I heard him asked.
"Hey James, it's Nikki." I said, bitting my lip.
"Hey babe. What's up?" He asked.
"My dad just left, wanna hang out at the ice rink?" I asked. There was a pause.
"Would love too, I'll see you down there."
"Okay, bye." I hung up the phone and got up. I went upstairs and started to get ready.
