I was walking home from ice skating. Dad should be home in about thirty minutes. So that's gives me enough time to shower, blow dry my hair, mess up my hair again and get back into my pajamas so Dad won't suspected a thing.
Believe me, I do this a lot.
I was carrying my skating in my left hand and running my hand throw my right while looking out into the street. All the cars were zooming by. I looked really cool.
The thing I couldn't get over is that it's November and there is no snow, at all. Mostly we would be at least around two or three feet of snow.
"Hey, Nikki! What are you doing over here?" I heard someone yell. I turned around and smiled, but in a confused way.
"Mr. Jackson?" He walked up to me and give me a hug.
"How are you sweets?" He asked as he let go of me. I smiled, still in shock.
"I'm, good. What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in New York for a meeting." I asked. Mr. Jackson chuckled deeply.
"They were canceled. And are you supposed to be home?" He asked. I smiled in a guilty way. He started to laugh. "Anyway, I was wondering if your dad still is a lawyer." I sighed.
"Yeah. He still is, and he will alway be a lawyer. Why? How'd you kill this time?" I asked mockingly.
"Nada. Long story short, this guy owes me money and he never gave me the money so I have to sue him for it." Mr. Jackson explained. I nodded slowly.
"Oh okay. I'll make sure I tell him you're here. I got to go, I'll see you later." I said as I started to walk away. Mr. Jackson smiled softly and waved.
"Okay, I'll see you later, Nicole."
Nicole? No one ever calls me Nicole.
