His eyes went back and forth from your face to the so called 'gift' in the palm of your hands while giving you a judgmental look.
It was an aranara plushie....
Tighnari chuckled, "Is this my surprise gift?" he asked, stifling a laugh as he held his mouth.
You scoffed at his remark,"excuse you? It's adorable!"
He was just holding in diarrhea at this point, "y/n, I'm 20 year's old! what am i gonna do with a plushie!?" he bursted out laughing at the face you made after his comment on your present. Clearly finding you being upset, amusing.
You couldn't believe he just said that.
What was he gonna do with a plushie at 20!? what else do you do with plushies!?
Not only that but he was being incredibly ungrateful.
The reason you bought the gift for him in the first place was because he was constantly stressing himself out and kept staying up late for the sake of studying which is INCREDIBLY UNHEALTHY by the way and you just wanted to give him something that'll somehow tell the message that he should enjoy himself a little and live his life while also being mindful of school work, of course and a plushie was what came to your mind for that.
yet he had the audacity to laugh.
Although him being happy and not burying his head into books was also one of your goals....

His laughter soon died down as he flicked away a tear in the most dramatic way ever.
"Are you done yet?" you asked to which he simply nodded while chuckling a little. his ears also following the movement of his head.

silence soonly fell upon the two of you as you sat on the chair that he bought for you since you visit almost everyday.
Sighing, tighnari stood up from his chair going towards somewhere, you didn't get to see where he went for you were too busy glaring at the floor.
It reminded you of those fake tiles that were actually chocolate.

You shifted your attention from the floor to the fox standing in front of you, mouth going wide open when you saw your gift.
It was this huge blue plushie of a pokemon called snorlax it had a white torso if you can even call it that and white feet with a 'bleh' face.
Did you mention it was huge? It's literally the size of your bed!
Launching onto the boy you repeated the phrase 'thank you' so much it sounded like you were doing a ritual.
Tighnari smiled while patting you on the back replying that he only wanted to return the favor before digging his head into your neck, his ears slightly tickling your cheek.
He sighed, "I just wanted to finish things up before summer so we could spend more time together.."
