I stand on the second floor behind the railing looking down at the work going on below me. My father, Clint Barton, is sitting perched on the lift on the other side of the room in his black tactical gear and SHIELD wind breaker.

I walk, pacing side to side surveying the environment, the blue space square sits directly in the middle of the room in a fancy looking machine that I'm not going to even try to understand. Directly in my eye line is renowned astrophysicist Dr. Erik Selvig, he was the only one who really had any idea of what was going on.

He turns to face me, looking up from his computer and looking me in the eyes. I definitely looked overdressed for the simple overwatch mission, but I had a weird feeling in regards to the cube, so I kept my guard up. I was in my mission suit, black crop top, black cargo pants, my dark green leather jacket that my Auntie Nat had given me for my birthday with my matching green beanie. My quiver was on my back and my bow was hanging over my shoulder. I nodded at Selvig before he went back to work on his computer.

After a few minutes, I noticed something with the cube, and by the looks on the ground I could tell the scientists did as well. The cube begins to glow a more powerful blue then before setting off alarms around the whole building indicating evacuation protocol.

I look over at my dad before walking around and hopping into the lift.

"What happened?" I ask. "Nothing touched it, nothing tampered with it, nothing even came within 10 feet of the things."

"I don't know, but Coulson's getting Fury here and you need to get out of here."

I give his the biggest look of disdain I could muster, looking him in the eyes I mutter, "I'm not going anywhere! Things are finally getting interesting."

Dad put his hand on my shoulder, and I could tell I was about to get told. "If something goes wrong and your in here Laura is going to kill both of us from beyond the grave. Plus your only sixteen you don't need to worry about SHIELD stuff getting interesting, you need to worry about school and what ever else normal sixteen year old girls worry about on a Friday night."

"Come on dad! You know normal stuff has never really been my thing and I've been a part of SHIELD since like birth. This is my normal Friday night."

"That is so sad," he says. I flashed him a look of annoyance and a hint of hurt feeling, but I brushed it off before he continued speaking. "Just please go, this isn't up for discussion. Were in uncharted territory here Anja, we don't know what were dealing with."

"But-" I begin, but before I could even get another word in I get the look, the 'I'm your father and I'm in charge' look. One of my least favorites of his Top 10.

I start to walk away when I here my dad start to talk again, I turned around quickly hoping he had reconsidered "Leave the bow, Bullseye. I'm not risking you trying to play hero." I roll my eyes before handing him my bow as I walk out of sight.

My dad was right about me playing hero, I'm stubborn, I can admit that, but if he thought taking my bow would make me give up that easily then he has been somewhere else for the past sixteen years.

I walk down the hall to the room marked 'A. Black.' Aka the room were I stay when I have long term missions, but it's also where I keep all my weapons. I walk into the room going to the closet and entering the eight digit code. '01141996,' also known as my birthday, or at least what we assumed was my birthday since none of us actually know.

The door slides open into my giant walk in ammo locker. I look over at my bow rack and see none there. That was impossible, I always have at least one there for emergencies. As I walk closer to the rack I see a small yellow square shaped piece of paper written on it in my dad's handwriting was; 'Nice try Anja, I applaud your efforts but I'm not that stupid.'
