Stephanie sighed her car had broken down on the first day of school, just her luck. She grabbed her car keys and put them back inside the house. She decided there was no way she was going to be late on the FIRST day of school. "I'm taking the bus" she said to herself. She walked until she reached the closest school bus stop. But the longer she waited the more she started to worry, what if she was late and didn't know it? The bus had already come? Was she waiting here for a bus that was never even coming?

Her thoughts and pacing  were interrupted by her accidentally slamming into another girl her age. The girl looked up surprised, she had headphones on, brown curly hair tied up in a cute high messy ponytail, a few start strands framing her face along with her curly, slight bangs. The girl was taller than Stephanie slightly looming over her. They stared at each other for a second both admiring each other's beauty in mutual respect.

Edith was looking down at the girl that had just slammed into her, the queen of Hawkins high.. Stephanie Harrington. Man she looks beautiful Edith thought looking at Stephanie's loose wavy hair flowing down slightly past her shoulders, the few freckles started across the girls face. A few moles here and there on her neck and jawline. She moved to the girls eyes where they both stared for a second,Edith thinking about Stephanie's bright hazel eyes and Stephanie thinking about Edith's doe, dark, and mysterious eyes.

They both quickly looked away when they're eyes started to wonder towards each other's lips. Jesus I don't even actually know the girl, they both thought. Sure they had heard of each other's reputation, Edith the freak Munson and Stephanie the hair queen Harrington. But really they didn't actually know each other.

"Sorry" mumbled Stephanie

"It's all good" Edith said with a shrug and put the headphones back on while sitting down at the bus stop bench.  So the bus hasn't passed by here yet otherwise why would she be here? Stephanie thought, a huge wave of relief spreading through her body.

After a few more minutes the bus arrived, they both got on the bus. The whispers immediately started when Stephanie walked in " why aren't you in your expansive luxury cars Stephanie?" Asked this one annoying kid named Tommy h.
" first it's not luxurious at all dumbass, secondly I left it at your parents house after fucking them senseless!" Stephanie snapped not in the mood as she walked all the way to the back of the bus. Tommy h stared after her in complete disgust and horror. Edith sat in the same isle in the back but sat int the furthest seat and started humming along with a Metallica song as it blasted in her ears.

Stephanie looked over and couldn't help but stare admiring some details about the other girl, her hellfire shirt fit her so well making every curve noticeable. The way her ripped black jeans were the same, highlighting the curve of Edith's legs... and thighs— " are you just going to keep staring?" Edith suddenly said not even looking at Stephanie, which completely threw her off and out of her very detailed thinking. Stephanie rolled her eyes.

" I wasn't staring"

"Sure princess."
Stephanie decided to have small talk with the girl since the saw bored and felt bad for staring, she wasn't gay, she just thought she looked really nice and if she were she would go out with her in no time.
" what's your name?"

"Edith, edith Munson"

"Oh nice to meet you "
" ughm" edith said

"What?"

"I don't know your name??"

Stephanie was a little taken aback she was the queen of high school how could anybody not know?

"You don't know me?"

"I do but it's called properly meeting someone, might've heard of it before?"

"Oh oh right Stephanie Harrington"
Stephanie chuckled.

"Nice to meet you" Edith said before putting her headphones back on. Stephanie went back to staring out the window. When the bus stop stopped at one of the other and final bus stops, five kids got on. When they all saw Stephanie they ran over. "Stephanie!!" The shortest but what Stephanie secretly thought was the cutest of the group, Dustin yelled leaping into the seat next to her. Then he turned to see Edith next to him and said "EDITHHH!!" Before leaning over and hugging the girl tight. Stephanie couldn't help but feel jealous as dusting showed more affection towards the other girl. Edith rolled her eyes and said "morning dustin" in a gentle voice. But before all the kids could say hi to both the girls, another group got on the bus.

Jason and almost  ALL of the basketball team. They were laughing as they got on, Jason saw Stephanie, and looked away slightly confused but not wanting to get involved with her. Then he spotted Edith and a small smile spread to his face

"Wassup freak?" Jason said sitting in front of Edith. As his goons slowly surrounded Edith and poor Dustin who was still sitting next to her with his arms wrapped around her.

"Finally got a boyfriend? Little young don't you think?" A slow devilish look spreading on Jason's face

"Oh so first I'm gay and now I'm a child predator? Oh please"  Edith rolled her eyes trying to seem confident, but Stephanie could see the dread and nervousness in Edith's eyes.
"Oh no you're totally gay" Jason said as his goons got slightly closer.

"EVERYONE TAKE A SEAT SO I CAN DRIVE GAWD DAMN IT!" The bus driver called out.

His goons sat all around, " pffft no I'm not, unless you count the time I screwed your mom, then yeah maybe I am for her." Edith said, Jason leaned forward and slammed her into the wall. Edith groaned as Jason said "shut it freak."

"Leave her alone!" Dustin yelped. He tried to come in between them and Jason pushed Dustin. Hard. He landed into one of the goons who threw him to the ground.

And Stephanie's mom mode Kicked in.

"Not my baby assholes"
