Lia

The school bell rings meaning my boring day of school is done.I walk home in the cold wet rain eager to go to my bed.

Oh! my name Jade Light. I am a 13 year old student here in Harbor Link Junior High. A weird name i know.i have jade eyes which is kinda how i got my name and i have long blue hair .

I live here in Japan with my older sister Marina who is 29 years old. She is not a very good cook so I'm usually the one cooking.

Her job is a writer. She writes mystery novels which are really good.she has brown eyes and short brown hair .

I also have my twin brother Simeon living with us.but we don't look alike.He has grey eyes and white spikey hair and he always wheres goggles on his head .

We go to the same school but Simeon goes home earlier than me becuase i have art club and music clubs to attend to.

My life here is normal if you're asking but not too normal. I have friends but none of them really stand by me or understand me so i'm pretty much a loner in school.

At home Marina is usually writting and doesn't want to be disturbed and Simeon is mostly out with his firends. I'm happy he has friends.

So I'm pretty much left alone in the house. Oh! and you're probably wondering about our parents.Right?

Well our parents are divorced so they are currently living in separate homes. We didn't want to live with either of them so Marina bought a house near our school and we kinda live there now. Well i guess thats all about me covered up.

As i was walking down the road only a block away from my house i noticed a cat that was stuck under a pile of trash. it seemed hurt so I  rescued it.

as I got home I immediately aided the cat with some bandages and medicine. afterwards i tucked in a blanket and it fell asleep real fast. I wanted to keep it. I put in my room near my bed so i can watch it for a few days.

" Jade. It's almost time for dinner. Do you feel like cooking or do we order take out?"

Marina called out from downstairs. before i could answer my bedroom window flew wide open. rain splashing water everywhere ,thus hitting the cat near my bed. i ran towards the window and closed it.

"Lia!"

I screamed at what seemed to be an empty corner, but to me it was my imaginary friend. i created her using my mind. i had a lot of imaginary friends when i was young ,but little by little all of them left until not to long ago Lia appeared.

She has pink medium hair with pink hollow eyes. she is very kind but sometimes annoying just like me. She is my only real friend and she is always there for me. Lia  wanders around by my side everyday and everywhere. Unfortunately no one can see her but me.

" sorry jade i just wanted to wake up the cute little cat"

Lia said .

" you didn't have to open the window. now my bed is all wet!"

I said a little annoyed but i always forgive her.

the cat woke up and started running around my room. It took only a few minutes until I finally caught it.

"ok Lia i want you to watch him for awhile . I'm going downstairs to cook dinner. I'll be back"

i said to Lia hopefully she does what i told her. sometimes its ok if she doesn't listen to me but sometimes its not.

i went out the room and went downstairs to cook dinner. we had some vegtables and spaghetti. so i thought of cooking some pasta and soup. I put on my apron tied up my hair and started washing the vegtables.

a few minutes past and i already got the soup cooking. it wont be long before its done. then i started boiling some water for the pasta.

"hey jade what's for dinner?"

Simeon said as he was going downstairs to see what i was cooking.

" pasta and some soup."

i answered while  dumping the pasta in the boiling water.

" do you need some help?"

Simeon asked.

" yeah sure"

I answered as i gave him the laddle to put some soup on the bowls i put on the table.

having Simeon around was really nice. i love living here with my siblings instead with my parents. but we don't hangout much.

after cooking the pasta Simeon plated the food into the table and i went to marina's room to tell her it's time for dinner.i knocked on her bedroom door

" Marina dinner is ready"

I said.

" coming"

she answered.

all of a sudden I hear Simeon scream from downstairs. Marina's door swung open and there she was standing in front of me.

we didn't have a minute to loose. we rushed downstairs to see what had happened.

"SIMEON ARE YOU....."

i paused in shock on what i had seen. the cat i rescued earlier had attacked and scratched simeon's arm. i looked around and there in the corner was Lia, laughing on what had happened while i stood there in anger. i specificallly told her to watch the cat and now simeon was hurt. i couldnt help staring at her with my anger

"JADE!"

Marina screamed. i looked at her then at Simeon. what am I thinking? I need to help them first before I deal with Lia. I ran upstairs to get the first aid kit

"Awwww....come on Jade it was pretty funny"

Lia said while hovering around me as i was wrapping Simeon's arm with the bandages. I ignored her words, tempted to scream at her. but i didnt want my sister and brother thinking i was a pyschopath talking to myself.

after caring for simeons arm. i apologized and explained how the cat had got into the house and attacked simeon. i was forgiven of course but i was still mad at Lia.

after dinner i helped out with the dishes and went straight up to my room

"LIA WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT"

I screamed at her.

i was really angry that she let the cat attack simeon like that.

"dont get so angry Jade. look im sorry I thought it was funny.plus i was watching the cat wasnt i."

she said while lying down on my bed.

"THAT WAS A DISASTER LIA. YOU SHOULD LEARN TO CONTROL YOURSELF"

I screamed.

i love my family dearly especially my brother. from the three of us the divorce of our parents really struck him the most. he had so many plans with them. Go fishing, camping and all that stuff. He had it all planned. but after the divorce he just didnt seem like the happy little boy he once was. But at least he has some friends not like me. I hate to see him sad so I was really angry at Lia. but of course I couldn't be mad at her forever.

I ignored her as much as I possibly can these past few weeks.it wasnt easy. Walking around knowing something is following you. but after a while i forgave her which was the time simeons arm healed.well i guess this is going to be a new start. of my not so normal life
