9-Beasts of the hunt

After Keira and I destroyed the golem we kept moving through the caves

"Can I ask you a question?" Keira asks as we desend some stairs

"I don't see the problem I guess" I say as we get to the bottom of the stairs

"Why are you helping Geralt? I mean you said you were friends but I can't help but think there must be something in it for you" she says as I stop and think

"She's how I get home" I say not facing her

"Why do you need her to get home?" She asks but realizes the answer "Your not from here are you"

"Indeed I'm from an entire different world called Tamriel" I say as she looks in surprised "And Ciri brought me here on accident so I'm hoping she can bring me back"

"Makes sense I assume. Still we'll have to discuss this another time" she says as I nod and we keep going through the cave to find another portal "Activate quickly"

I touch the swallow and another portal opens and we go through it finding several golems frozen solid "This is where we saw the hunt before" Keira says looking through a hole in the wall then looks at the centuries "They destroyed them before they could even move"

"It's the white frost. Let's move!" I say as we quickly move through the cave and find several members of the wild hunt in front of us

One of the huntsmen holding a staff looks at us and opens three portals of the white frost which immediately drops the tempature in the room not that right bothered me but still

"What are those portals?" Keira asks

"It's the white frost, we need to close them" I say as she nods

"Stay close to me I'll shield us with Deminia crest surge!" She says as a large shield appears around us and we approach the first portal and beast of the hunt charge at us "What are those?"

"Beast of the hunt. Focus on closing the portal I'll hold them off" I say as I draw my katanna and slice the first beast in half then stab another through the head but more just keep coming "Hurry they just keep coming!"

While I could handle the beast for a long time I had a feeling I would need my strength for fighting the actual hunt. After some more fighting she's able to close the other portals

"Good job you did it" I say as I see her losing balance "Keira you ok?"

"Yes that just took a large amount of magic" she says as she falls back but I catch her and guide her to the floor

"Can you keep going?" I ask her not wanting to leave her here but I can't exactly carry her and fight the hunt

"No no I'll be fine" she says as she stands back up and I nod

We climb the stairs and face a ice wall the hunt used to block our path. I summon fire in my hands but Keira waves me off

"Leave it to me" she says as she casts a few spells destroying the ice "We can still catch them"

We go through more of the cave and find a member of the hunt waiting for us "He's waiting for us" Keira says as I shake my head

"No he's waiting for me you stay here" I say as I draw my katanna "Your already drained let me handle him"

I give her no room for argument as I jump down and point my blade at the hunter "Dovakin" the hunter says in almost a whisper "I've been waiting"

My eyes widen "You know who I am?" I ask before composing myself "Then you know a lone hunter stands no chance"

The hunter stands up and swings the axe off his back "We shall see" he says and I charge at him attempting to slash across his chest but he blocks it with his axe then swings it down hard but I roll out of the way and swing at his leg slicing it

He barley flinch's but he noticeably shakes a little as his energy is drained slightly by my blade "What is that blade?"

I stair him down and smirk "wuld!" I get launched forward by the wind and before the hunter can react I cut deep into his shoulder draining him even more as I pull back

The Hunter however manages to surprise me and swing across my chest denting my armor a little and knocking me on my back

The Hunter attempts to swing down and finish me "Zun!" I shout quickly knocking his axe out of his hand but not too far

As I hear his axe hit the ground I pierce his chest with my katanna draining what life force he had left

(Sorry if the fights are bad I'm working on it)

The Hunter falls down dead and I sheath my blade "Well he wasn't all too much of a challenge for you" Keira says walking up behind me "Why didn't you just kill him with a shout?"

I chuckle "Because that would have been to easy. It's not a challenge if I just kill everyone with a shout" I say as we continue into the mages laboratory

"I guess that makes sense with your love of fighting. It's another projection" Keira says as we view another projection of the mage

"This place is no longer safe Zireael find me in the place we last saw each other" the projection says before vanishing

"It seems Ciri has been here. But the mage knew the hunt was tracking him. Surly they saw his message" Keira says as I nod

"Let's look around for any clues. I doubt the hunt left any but maybe you lamp is somewhere around here" I offer as she nods and we start looking around the laboratory

After finding some of the mages burned notes I notice a wall that doesn't look right so I walk over to it "Keira does this feel weird to you?"

"Yes I sensed it as well. It's a solid illusion" Keira says as she walks over besides me and pulls out a little circular trinket "The eye of nehaleni can dispel any illusion" she says handing it to me "You can have this one they're very simple to make"

I take it and hold it up to the wall and it vanishes "Impressive" I say as we enter a new room with a statue and a lantern sitting next to it. I pick it up and hold it out to her "Is this what you were looking for?"

Her eyes light up and she take the lantern "Indeed it is. This will be very useful thank you for your help procuring it"

"Thanks for your help dealing with the hunt" I say with a smile "So can you portal us out of here?" I ask her not wanting to walk all the way back through the cave

"We're already passed the disruption field so I believe so" she says conjuring a portal

"Here goes nothing" I say as I jump through and end up back at her but with her soon following
