Chapter 3: Rut

Hyungsik asked Jungkook to stay a little longer so that they could discuss with Alpha Daehyung about Jungkook and Taehyung being mates. So they were all back at the living room again.

"Taehyung? Baby why didn't you tell anyone of us?" Aera asked.
"Mom I am not a baby." Taehyung retorted. He was embarrassed when his mother called him baby in front of Jungkook. He took a glance at Jungkook and saw the man holding back his laugh. Hyungsik broke out into laughter and Jungkook couldn't help himself but he too laughed out.

Taehyung closed his eyes and took a deep breath before he opened his eyes and glared at Jungkook and his brother.
"I am sorry." Jungkook said to Taehyung and zipped up his lips while holding back his laugh.

"Alpha..Luna.. may I?" Jungkook asked for a permission to speak to the elders.
Daehyung and Aera nodded and gestured for him to continue.
"I didn't acknowledge Taehyung on our first meeting. I know I made a huge mistake by ignoring Taehyung that night, but I was shocked that we are both alphas and I have never heard of
two male alphas being mates.  And...Taehyung?" Jungkook turned towards Taehyung and continued.
"I promise I didn't mean to hurt you or was trying to reject you. I just needed some time to think about it." Jungkook explained and he slowly walked towards Taehyung and sat down on one knee in front of his mate.

"Taehyung I promise I will never hurt you ever again. Please give me a chance to start this over again." Jungkook pleaded his eyes searching on Taehyung's face anxiously waiting for Taehyung to respond. Everyone turned towards Taehyung and gestured for him to say yes.

"You have no idea how much you hurt me." Taehyung finally responded looking down at Jungkook.

"I know and I am sorry, I promise I will make up for everything I did.. So Taehyung will you give me another chance?" Jungkook asked and waited for Taehyung's response. And how could Taehyung say no when his mate was acting the way he was, looking at him with expectant eyes.
"Okay..." Taehyung answered and looked away blushing.
'How could anyone be so adorable' Jungkook thought seeing Taehyung's redden face. He couldn't help but looked down and smiled to himself.

Jungkook stood up grabbing Taehyung's hands and pulled the boy up along with him.
"I Jeon Jungkook Alpha of Moon Stone pack accept you Kim Taehyung as my mate." Jungkook declared, his both hands still holding Taehyung's. Taehyung felt his heart almost about to get explode. His wolf was howling with joy inside his mind. Taehyung looked around at everyone and they were all nodding at him. He looked back at Jungkook and nodded his head once before saying...
"I Kim Taehyung of Storm Riders pack accept you Jeon Jungkook, Alpha of Moon Stone pack as my mate."

As soon as Taehyung finished, Jungkook immediately hugged him.
"I am so sorry mate." Jungkook said Taehyung's neck. Taehyung's heart skipped a beat hearing the word 'mate'. He sighed and hugged Jungkook back.
"I forgive you mate." Taehyung replied and Jungkook held him more tightly.

The two alpha mates were left alone in the living room.
"So Luna huh? Why did you lie?" Jungkook asked.
"Because I wanted to hurt you just like you hurt me."
"So it's going to be like that huh..?" Jungkook took Taehyung's hand in his.
Taehyung just shrugged.
"But you succeeded, it did hurt me so bad." Jungkook lifted Taehyung's hand against his chest and Taehyung could feel Jungkook's heart beat. Now Taehyung felt bad for hurting his mate but he wasn't going to say it out loud. He doesn't want to look weak.
"Served you right." Taehyung responded. Hearing that Jungkook leaned forward, closing the space between them. Their faces were only inches apart and Jungkook looked straight into Taehyung's eyes.
"Are you sure?" Jungkook asked knowing exactly how his mate was feeling. He smirked not moving an inch. Taehyung couldn't take it anymore so he looked away, his face as red as tomato because of the close proximity with his mate.
"You are so adorable." Jungkook stated and chuckled.
"Oh my goddess, I am not. Why is everyone treating me like a baby?" Taehyung pouted.
"Because you are a baby... my baby... MY LITTLE ALPHA."
