Chapter 10: Alpha Claiming his Mate

After reaching the pack house Jungkook called for a meeting with his friends and hyungs. But they were forced to go to the clinic first because Jin and Jimin, both being the omegas, their caring nature kicked in and helped the two mates to fixed their wounds.

There wasn't any serious injuries except for Jungkook having a deep cut in his arm while Taehyung had scratches in his back and shoulders and a small cut in his leg.

"They were after Taehyung, two of them weren't rogues." Jungkook informed and everyone exchanged look. Why would anyone want to hurt the boy?
"We need to find whoever is behind the attack and why they are after my mate. I am gonna fucking kill them all before they lay a finger on Taehyung." Jungkook's lowly growled with anger flaring in his eyes.

"Jungkook!" Jin gestured for Jungkook to look at Taehyung. Jungkook turned his head and found Taehyung's eyes droopy and tired. Jungkook eyes softened, his anger instantly gone which everyone noticed. He walked to Taehyung and took his hand.
"Let's go back to our room."

The two mates took their time cleaning themselves in the bathroom and when straight to bed after. They were too tired to talk so they simply snuggled to each other and fell asleep in each other's embrace.

The next day, it was already noon.
Jungkook woke up first and he was playing with Taehyung's hair, looking at his baby's still sleeping face squeezed on his chest. He was thinking why those people were after his mate. They are going to come back and he should be prepared. Jungkook was lost in his thought when Taehyung stirred up from his sleep. He raised his head and looked around with eyes half opened, his drool running down the corner of his lips and then he slumped right back at Jungkook's chest. Jungkook chuckled.
"Baby open your eyes."
"I am so tired." Taehyung said eyes still closed.
"Daddy!!" Jungkook whispered and snickered. Taehyung opened one eye. And Jungkook laughed at Taehyung's reaction.
"Shut up before I make you call me for real." Taehyung murmured still sounding very tired.

Jungkook kissed Taehyung 's forehead.
"We skipped dinner last night I will go get us some food." Jungkook said brushing Taehyung's hair.
"Okay." Taehyung mumbled pulling himself away from Jungkook and getting himself comfortable hugging a pillow. Jungkook shook his head smiling and got up to go to the kitchen.

Jungkook and Taehyung were in Jungkook's office. They were trying to find any information about the attack. Jungkook was looking through some documents. But when he finished, he found Taehyung sleeping with his head leaning on the table.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook softly called.
"Baby?" Jungkook called again. But when Taehyung was not responding, Jungkook gently touched Taehyung's cheek. His eyes widened when he found Taehyung's body temperature was burning. He immediately scooped up the boy and ran towards the pack clinic.

The pack doctor checked Taehyung's body and found that Taehyung's cut on the leg was not healing but had gotten worse.
"Wolfsbane poisoning." The pack doctor informed.
"What?" Jungkook asked eyes wide.
"They much have coated their claws or knife whatever they have used to make that cut on Taehyung with wolfsbane." the doctor explained.
"He will be okay, it's a very little amount, I will drain out the poison from his blood but Jungkook, you do know what this means?" the pack doctor asked and
Jungkook nodded. The attack was just a warning or may be not, but the use of wolfsbane only indicates that there is going to be a bigger attack.

"I will send my strongest warriors." Hyungsik promised. He had come to the Moon Stone pack right away after hearing about Taehyung. He was worried for his baby brother. He visited Taehyung in the clinic and now he was discussing about the attack with Jungkook in his office.
"And Congratulations, I see the two of you have completely mated." Hyungsik said on seeing the marks on both the mates. Hyungsik was surprised to see Taehyung's mark on Jungkook, but that only showed how much Jungkook loves his brother.
"Thanks and also for coming Hyungsik, I am ready to get all the help I can get if it is for Taehyung." Jungkook answered to which Hyungsik nodded.
"And I promised I will protect him with my life." Jungkook added.
"I know." Hyungsik nodded again.
Hyungsik had given his word to find out more on the attack and to do whatever he can to protect his brother."
