"Yay!!! The J3 are here," Felicia, my best friend screamed, squeezing my hand at the presence of the most popular and handsome guys in the whole of Grace International School.
"Oh no, they are approaching us," she said, a little bit more quiet but still pressing so much force into my hands.
"Oh geez, Felicia would you calm yourself down?" I asked, more like a statement, releasing myself from her grip
OK. So, apart from the fact that the J3 are the hottest, richest and cutest guys in school, my life was a living hell especially because I was engaged to Jason, one of the members of J3.
My family and Jason's have been close friends even before our birth. We were born in the same hospital, attended the same kindergarten, preschool, junior school and yeah, obviously high school too. I and Jason were so close and if i can remember clearly, I think we both liked each other.
Yes, I used the word "liked" because that was a very long time before our family doctor announced that I was really sick and by that, I mean I have a heart disease. When I was five, I almost died due to my weak heart but I went through a heart transplant and survived it but i didn't stop getting sick and landing in the hospital almost all the time.
So, I guess that's when things changed. When Jason found out I was a weak and sick girl, he stopped liking me. He hated me so much that the only time we had a conversation was when we had a family dinner.
Jason's father was very rich but my father was still the owner of Jason's dad company, so all the man wanted and cared about was for his son to be nice and love me so we could get married and you know, become a family. But Jason hated me more for that. He hated me more because the life of his family's business was in the hands of a sick girl.
Everyone in the school knew we were engaged but no one knew the amount of hatred we had for each other. So yes, whenever we were in school, we tried to always put on an act even though it didn't last.
"Oh please Chloe, don't tell me your little heart isn't beating at the presence of Jason," she teased me happily and innocently as the boys became closer.
"What?" I asked with disgust. "You don't have the slightest idea," I said to her, more to myself
"Shhh, they are here." She said like a little child, just offered candy.
Felicia had been my best friend since I was two. She knew I liked Jason but didn't notice when things changed. She was almost as rich as I was and has always had a crush Jack, the leader of the J3 and also the son of the owner of our school which obviously shows that he's the richest.
"Hi!" Felicia greeted the boys who were now in front of us. "You are here," she said stupidly, but still giggling to no one in particular and I couldn't help but laugh seeing my friend looking slightly embarrassed and embarrassing.
James, the only humble and less rich one among them smiled at me and put his hand on my shoulder "Well, Jason insisted he came to see his fiance," he said smiling weirdly at me.
"Oh, James!" I started, putting his arms down and hitting it with all my might which didn't have any effect on him "Firstly, never touch me," I said smiling, knowing how much I loved teasing him, unlike Jason.
I and James have still been close even after he joined the J3.
"And, secondly, I don't think Jason has any reason to want to see me." I said, my smile fading away but of course, none of them seemed to notice it.
"Well, he did and now I think we have to go" Jack who was looking irritated suddenly said before they left
I watched them go still confused on what just happened."I wonder why you have a crush on that rude beast," I said to Felicia who was looking at me like she was going to eat me whole.
"This is all your fault," she replied widening her big eye balls which scared me and with them as wide as that, I think I'm going to die soon.
"You are the rude one here. Couldn't you have let those running mouth of yours said something nicer to Jason?" She asked still yelling, ignoring my wrist watch which was beeping loud and fast."
