Chapter 2 - I'm A Vampire?

Zekial's pov

She was so pretty. I thought that I would never find her, but finally I have. I have to tell her, but how? If I tell her here, she could freak an expose me to the world and all of the vampire community for that fact. Hmm, I have to get her alone to tell her.

"Hey Paulette... um, can I please talk to you alone for a minute?" I asked

"Um... sure I guess." She replied. I took her out the front of the gallery and I couldn't help but smile at her as she looked up at the night sky

"Paulette, I have something to tell you. I'm a... I'm a vampire." I said slowly. She looked at me as if I had just said that the earth was square.

"Huh... yeah, no your not: vampires don't exist, don't be stupid." She said.

"I'm being serious. I am an actual vampire; fangs and all." I said, trying to sound as serious as possible

"Um, I'm so sorry but I ... I have to leave. Goodbye, Zeke." She said angrily.

"What? No please don't go! At least take my number, please." She grabbed the note with my number on it and called her friend Valorie. By the time I could say goodbye, she was gone.

Paulette's pov

He was crazy. All I could think about was getting the hell out of there before he tried to tell me a psychotic story again.

"So, what was that about?" Val asked me.

"Nothing. It's none of your business anyway." I replied, a little harsher than I'd meant it, but I was too frustrated to care at that point.

I dropped her off at her house and when I got to mine I just sat on the couch staring at the piece of paper with his name and number on it.

I have to call him. But I don't want to. But I have to. But I don't want to. On and on in a circle. I was battling against my brain and feelings all at the same time.

Fine , I will call him. I dialled his number and success! He picked up! "Um... hi. It's me. Paulette."
