"Are you absolutely sure that this is the best decision for you?" Vincent's concern can be heard by all the ghosts that haunt the French Quarter.

"Vin ... Please." She said as she found comfort in his eyes. He looks at her like a snowflake he wanted to preserve.

"I am positive." She reached down to reveal the necklace he hand crafted for her. A small silver necklace with his own design, a small V enclosed by a circle. "I have you with me everywhere I go." She paused, taking a breath before she let out, "I just can't stay here anymore. As much as I love you I can't."

Her voice became panicked now. She started to ramble "and honestly I don't think you even want me to stay just for you. I would be insufferable!" she smiled.

"No. I supposed not. Those kids at that school ... they won't exactly be friendly." Vincent has never liked the idea of sending young witches away from their covens, unprotected to be exposed to just any magic.

"Well. I'm not exactly friendly either." She finishes putting the last of her luggages in the taxi before running back to Vincent. She grabs him by the shoulders and shakes him just a tad. Like it or not she has grown even if Vincent refuses to see anything, but the small scared seven year old he found in a house surrounded by ghosts. She is sixteen now, at almost 5'8 and almost a decade of training and learning from the oldest and most vicious vampires, she feared the rumors for her friend more than high school bullies. "Vincent, you're my family. Please, Vin, I can't do this if I don't have your support."

He took a deep breath. She had all the knowledge he could possibly cram into her head. The child he wished survived. The child that he was able to save. All he wanted was to keep saving her but he knew what was to come was in her hands. "mhm. You know I spent years hearing that word tossed around when the Mikaelsons were still running around." He put his arms around her, holding her as if it was his last time. "I never quite understood it until I met you. So if anyone hurts you I'm gonna have to go up there. Understood?"

She laughed "Yes sir!" As he began to pull away she stopped him, not quite ready to let go yet. "You'll always save me, Vincent, I knew that from the moment I met you. I'll miss you but this is not goodbye! So stop making me sad!" She forced herself to let go as she stepped into the taxi.

She watched as Vincent became lost in the crowd. The taxi was all too quick to take off to complete his current passage. Just like that Alyssa Marie was off to the boredom of Virginia, Mystic Falls Virginia, that is. She was to start her sophomore year of high school at the Salvatore Boarding school for the young and gifted. She could care less about learning earth magic and being surrounded by her "own kind" all she cared about was seeing Hope.

A flier magically appears under her door as she starts to unbox her room. She hadn't spell the room for her liking yet. The flier was a reminder to do so. It states "You are invited to the annual first day of school bonfire. Location and time to be magically continued. Hope to see you there, - xoxo." I have not come almost a thousand miles to party but I suppose getting a jump on who I do and do not trust would be for the better. She hears a knock on the door.
"Hello! Guess you beat me to the room," a girl in a light blue dress cheerfully says to her.

She looks at the girl confused "oh i'm sorry but I believe you have the wrong room." The girl looks at her papers given to her by the school to confirm she is in the right room.

"I'm sorry maybe the school messed up my paperwork. I'll get it checked out." the girl says in a hushed tone with signs of fear.

"No. It's okay ... I'll figure it out." She left the room and went down to the headmasters office. With the amount of money her family gracefully donated to this school she wanted a private room. That was the least they could offer. There was a line that reached all the way to the library.
