First day of school. A day many people dreaded, yet were excited about. Today, Taehyung was not enjoying it. He hated his classes and he hated the school even more. The familiar walls of the hallways haunt him, day and night.

It was already the third period and he sighed sitting down at a random desk, away from the teacher. He laid his head down, not caring about the icebreaker they were about to do, but he had to get up to participate anyway.

He met a lot of interesting people, but none of which he wanted to get close with. Taehyung also recognized a lot of people from the previous year and he had to act like he was glad to see them, but of course, he wasn't.

After the bell rang Taehyung dragged his feet to his next class, repeating the same thing he did for the past three classes.

The day went on and finally, the school day was over. The minimum day didn't feel so mini. And now it was back to regular time for the rest of the school days.

The second day of school wasn't the worst, but like anyone, Taehyung was bored. He got his first assigned seat in his science class and he sat with some decent people. There was one that sparked his interest. A short, blonde hair boy who had an eye smile, initiated a conversation. It was kind of hard to talk to the boy since someone sat in the middle of them, but soon that didn't matter and they were in their own world, just the two of them.

"It was nice talking to you!" The blonde smiled at Taehyung and left for his next class.

Taehyung blushed and clutched his hand over where his heart was. He smiled to himself, finally having something to look forward to every day.

The next day was even better. The two talked a lot more, getting to know each other, and to their surprise, they had nothing in common! One liked sports and working out, and the other hated working out and loved eating sweets. They found a few similarities, but the fact that they were different made them more interested in each other. They had more to talk about that way too.

They listened to one another's stories and laughed when they told embarrassing stuff.

Despite having known each other for only a week, they were comfortable with each other.

But guess what...neither of them knew each other's names.

Each day they grew closer and closer yet they never knew what the other's name was. Both were too embarrassed to ask, so they never did. They just talked every day, not forgetting to annoy the person between them with their conversations, but all without knowing each other's names.

The days flew by and it was already nearing the end of the first semester. Finally one of them gathered up the courage to ask.

"Hey, uh, by the way...what's your name?" The blonde asked, laughing nervously.

Taehyung stared and paused for a moment. Then he burst out laughing. "Bro, I wanted to ask you that this whole semester!" Taehyung continued laughing, almost to the point where he was crying.

The blonde started laughing and so was the person in the middle of them.

"You guys talked this whole semester without even knowing each other's names?!" The girl in between them pointed at them and threw her head back with a loud laugh. "Y'all are idiots!"

"I'm Jimin," Jimin said, still laughing a little.

"Jimin? Cute name! I'm Taehyung," Taehyung smiled and snorted feeling dumb.
