"Y/N! Y/N! Guys give her some space, you know better than to crowd her when this happens. Gareth get some water." I could hear him. I could feel his hand on mine, his thumb gently rubbing circles on the back of my hand. He always did this but these blackouts, seizures whatever the doctors wanted to call them this week were happening more and more frequently. I slowly and gingerly started to open my eyes to be greeted by 2 giant chocolate button eyes kindly staring down at me.

"Did it happen again Eds? How many people saw it happen this time?" I asked croakily while trying to sit up from where I was lay on the cafeteria floor.

"It did sweetheart but I was able to realise and managed to dive behind you and stop you hitting your head. Don't try and sit up yet, take a few more seconds to get your bearings." I did as I was told and lay back down.

"Hey shithead, stop staring. Never seen a seizure before, get your ass to class." Dustin Henderson as straight to the point as ever. As conscious as it made me that he was telling people I had seizured, I didn't like the fact that it meant people were staring. I never understood why people felt someone having a seizure gave them the right to stare.

"Here you go sweetheart, try and sit up now and drink some of this." Eddie was now helping me sit up as Gareth had just passed him a glass of water. He moved to kneel behind me so that I could rest against him. He always knew how to care for me when these happened, we had been friends for the last 18 months since my older sister (long story short, our parents had passed and there was no family to look after us so my sister took me in) and I moved into the trailer next to him and his Uncle. He had heard me blasting Judas Priest and instantly came over to introduce himself. Our friendship, however was cemented when he saw me unpacking my D&D items a few days later. I don't think it was any secret to everyone other than Eddie, who seemed oblivious, that I wanted more though.

I did as I was told and had a sip of water. "Eddie, do you think you could take me home please? I just need to rest up now for the afternoon and I feel a little sore from the slight fall." These episodes were always the same, they would make me feel tired and I would just want to curl up and have a nap in front of the TV. I would then wake up craving snacks.

"Course I can. Dustin go and let Principal Higgins know that I am taking Y/N home after an episode and neither of us will be back in this afternoon." I stared at Eddie confused and with a look that showed him I wasn't impressed as I knew he needed to graduate this year and couldn't afford to take time off for me. "Don't look at me like that Y/N, you know your sister is working until late and there is no way I am leaving you on your own. What if you have another seizure and there is no one with you?" I went to speak and Eddie placed his thumb from the hand he currently had cradling my chin on my lips. "Don't argue with me, I'm staying with you end of story."

I defeatedly nodded while taking another sip of water. Eddie took the glass off of me and held a hand out to help me up while the other arm was now around my shoulders steadying and guiding me. "Thanks Eddie, you always know how to take care of me." I looked down and saw that he had taken his battle vest off and folded it up to act as a pillow while I was on the floor. Mike picked it up and passed it to him. "Thank you. I know how much that jacket means to you." Gareth was now steadying me as Eddie placed his vest back on.

"You mean more to me though sweetheart. Can't have you doing more damage to yourself." Eddie winked as he offered me his arm so I could link mine to help me keep myself upright. These episodes always made me a little wobbly and I had bad knees anyway but today I felt good so didn't have my crutches on me. We said goodbye to the rest of the Hellfire club and made our way towards Eddie's van. Eddie was always the gentleman and opened the door for me while helping me get in. Now I felt safe and comfortable I could feel the drowsiness starting to hit me. Eddie passed me a little pillow he kept in the van for times like these and I settled down to nap for a few minutes.

When we stopped I opened my eyes to realise we had stopped outside of family video. Eddie wasn't in the van. I looked around to see that he was inside the store. A few minutes passed and he came out practically skipping with a carrier bag. He climbed in and spoke to me "Hey Princess, how you feeling?"

"Ok, just groggy and my head hurts. The usual." I smiled weakly and could feel my energy draining just from talking to Eddie.

"I know sweetheart." He held up the bag and continued talking. "I got us a few movies and snacks. I know how you get when you wake up. I'll grab some soda's from the store on the way home too." He started the van up and made his way towards my trailer but stopping at the store for soda's as discussed.

When we got to my trailer, Eddie did what he always did in these situations. He treated me like a fragile little ornament and took the best care of me, better than anyone had before. He helped me out of the van and into the trailer. He sat me down on my couch before running off to my bedroom. Eddie returned a few minutes later with a pair of pjs, a pillow from my bed and my favourite blanket. "Come on, let's get you changed and get you comfy so you can rest up Princess."

I did as I was told, Eddie had looked after me so many times that it didn't bother me to change in front of him anymore. He helped me get my shoes off as well as my skintight jeans and get into my pjs. Once I was changed Eddie took off his shoes and jacket and made himself at home as he always did. I settled myself on the sofa whilst Eddie placed the snacks and drinks on the table in front of us and placed a tape in the VHS.

Once that was done Eddie settled himself next to me on the sofa and patted his chest for me to snuggle in. I decided that now was the time, if I didn't tell him now I don't think that I ever would. "Eddie, thank you. It really means a lot to me that you take such good care of me when I seizure. Not that I mind but why do you do it when we are just friends?"

He pulled away slightly and nudged my chin with his hand so that we were looking into each other's eyes. "I will always take care of you Princess no matter the circumstances. Have you not realised yet though that the reason I do this isn't just because I care about you. I love you Y/N."

My breath caught in my chest a little. Had I just heard him right? I decided to take a chance. "I love you too Eddie." As I finished my sentence Eddie reached down and our lips locked onto one another. It felt as though someone had lit a firework inside of my chest and I couldn't help but think how natural this felt.

"How about it then Princess? Instead of me taking care of you some of the time, why don't you be my girl and allow me to take care off you all the time?"

I smiled so much that my cheeks hurt. "I can't think of anyone better for the job." With that we kissed again and spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies, eating snacks and making out.
