Jimin's POV:
Those warm eyes. I'm sure I've seen those before. I searched the deepest parts of my memory to try to figure out where I have seen them. Unconsciously, my gaze turned to my brother beside me and he was looking at Uncle Min in terror.
That's when it finally came to me. Those eyes... The same ones we saw the last time we saw our parents alive. I'm sure that he's with them in the car on the same trip. Why is he alive? Why didn't we find our parents that night?
A lot of negative thoughts was surging through my head. What is this? I don't understand. Why is he fucking alive? The point of the impact was on the driver's side and he was the driver for sure. Then what is he doing right here?
I tried to control myself; not to show negative emotions through my face, but I couldn't. Jungkook already noticed. He suddenly stood up and dragged both me and my brother out of there while saying, "Sorry! Something came up and I need these two with me! Please continue celebrating!"
He said that without looking back. I am now slightly trembling from a mix of emotions that I didn't want to feel once again. The grief, the regrets, the sadness, the loneliness. Those are some of the emotions I felt for a very long time after hearing about the accident. I had to hide them from my brother up until now since the funeral service ended.
Physically, I suddenly felt nauseous. If I'm like this, Jihyun is far worse. His legs gave up on him the moment we were in a secluded place. Jungkook looked very worried and confused at the same time. "Tell me what happened.", Jungkook approached.
I wanted to, but it was as if my mouth was sealed shut at the moment. "That man. He was the guy driving the car into a crash. It killed mom and dad; how come he's alive and well?", Jihyun was trembling when he said this.
"Huh? Uncle Min? If your parents died, wouldn't he have died too?", Jungkook asked but he has to wait for when we calmed down. It took Jihyun and I a good 15 minutes before explaining everything to Jungkook.
"There are a lot of stories made from theory about how our parents died, but there were only three that are most probably the cause of their death.", I started. "It varies from the driver drunk driving, the driver fainting, or the passengers arguing with the driver that lead them into crashing towards the side of the bridge.", Jihyun continued.
"When the narration of investigation came to us, it was that the impact has completely ruined the car on the driver's side when it flipped due to crashing on the bridge and eventually falling down the river. We provided the information of how we last saw our parents that night.", I told him.
"We initially have told them that both our parents are seated on the backseats while the one driving was their coworker who we often saw. The investigation told us that the back was also severed therefore it might've instantly killed it's passenger before it even went on the water.", my brother tried to explain how he remembered it.
"All the doors except for the one in the passenger seat where no one was seated were all locked after flipping and crashing. The thing is, no bodies were retrieved that night. Only the driver could've successfully escaped death through the passenger door, only our parents were declared dead after almost a month of searching the river.", I told him.
"They only found our parents' torn clothing; bloody from the accident. The theory we still believed is that there was an argument between our parents and the driver before the accident itself. The police didn't believe this because the report passed by the company workers from where they worked at didn't match our statements about them.", I continued as Jihyun didn't know a lot about this one.
"We believe that the accident was a planned assassination. Why? One, our parents usually took us to business trips with them but that was the one time that we couldn't come because their coworker insisted that we shouldn't.", Jihyun now said.
