Daves POV

I woke up a curled up purring karkat on top of me. I couldn't help but smile. Actually smile. I've never really felt this happy before. I looked at the sleeping karkat. Carefully I pet Karkats tiny head avoiding his horns so he wouldn't wake up.

Karkats POV
I am now just asleep and I felt something odd... like someone was petting me. It felt good and I began to purr. I felt a small movement beneath me and I relized that I was on top of Dave. At this point I didn't really care I just curled up into a ball snuggling closer to Dave. I could feel dave wrap his arms around me into his warm hug surprised I look up at him he was still passed out. Not knocked out just sleeping. Gog he was adorable when he slept. I could feel my face go red looking at him. I look up into the sky seeing the sun was a bit lower than it was when we got knocked out. It's probably been an hour or two since it happened so I close my eyes and cuddle up to him purring myself to sleep.

Dave's POV
I woke up again. I didn't even relize I had fallen asleep again but this time karkat seemed to be awake he just wasn't as aware as I was "Karkat?" I wispered into his small ear. He looked up at me and his face turned bright red standing up. "S-sorry" Karkat stammered quickly helping me to my feet. "H-how long h-have y-you been up f-for?" Karkat shyly looked away in embarrassment. "Kitkat it's okay" I said to him calmly but emotionless like always "Don't worry your fine." I could feel a small smile creep onto my face. I saw tears running down his face and I quickly disregarded my cool kid emotionless face and became worried "Kitkat? What's wrong?" I stood closer to him ready to hug him tightly and when I heard no answer but his quiet sobs. "Karkat it's all ganna be fine" I said into his ear pulling him into a tight hug. "D-dave" he hugged me tight. "It's okay" he nuzzles into my neck and his warm tears ran down my neck and back. "What's wrong Kitkat you have to tell me" Karkat sniffed a few times then hugged me tighter and spoke "Dave I-" (cliff hanger read next part to find out what karkat has to say!
