Chapter 1
I rolled over in the too warm bed, slowly unlinked myself from the heavy arm of the gorgeous man led next to me and checked the time.
5.30am, its far too early, but I really need to use the toilet.
Padding slowly out the room and across the hall to the bathroom, sleep still blurring my vision, I take out the test.
While I sit and wait the 3 minutes for it to tell me entire future I think about everything that’s happened to us. I’m still in college and we’ve been trying for a baby for about 5 months now. I always knew I never wanted education and only ever wanted to be a mummy.
Well I’m now 4 days late for my period and slightly panicking. Maybe it’s not everything I thought it would be, can I really do this? Be someone’s mum? A mum is someone you rely on your entire life, I still go to my mummy if anything bad happens! Will I be able to deal with the sleepless nights and temper tantrums? What if I’m not ready?
I slowly turn my head to look at the stick sitting next to me, for the first time thinking I’d be happy with either answer after giving myself a decent panic attack!
POSITIVE!
It’s happening, suddenly all the worries of being a good mother vanishes out of my brain when I realise I’m going to have a precious little baby, who I will carry in my arms as long as I have to, and in my heart forever and always!
I run back through the house screaming and flipping on lights as I go. Waking Matt up in the process, His beautiful green and hazel eyes wide awake in alarm, ready to jump on anything that could be causing the scream.
“Jessica what is the matter” He screams at me already on his way to find out.
“I’M PREGNANT MATT!!!” I effectively stop him in his tracks and he slowly spins round, showing me his gorgeous washboard body, flipping back his sandy blond hair.
“wow.. uh.. yeah.. umm.. wow” This is all he could stutter out for a good 5 minutes, until he gets back into bed spooning me from behind and placing a large working man hands on my belly where our little bundle is growing inside me!
“Are you all of a sudden really scared?” He breathes in my ear, his voice trembling making his chest rumble up my back and I suddenly feel that no matter what happens to me he is going to be there 100% of the way.
“Yes a little, but we are so ready for this baby! Except maybe all the equipment and money and things, but no baby will ever be as loved as this little nugget.”
