As we stood in the alley way, between the old roads connecting the towns, a man walked by, he was in all black and had a large jumper on, he stopped just in front of me and turned around and stared at my purse made of leather and your beautiful necklace of gold.

As he stared at us with a strange look on his face, he removed his hand from the left pocket, this hand held a weapon, and it was pointed straight at us. "Give me the necklace and the purse or I can _____ you both." The strange man said, his voice raspy and made you shiver as you hid behind my back. "No. I'm sorry you can not have that. That necklace is very precious to the child, and they won't give it to you, nor will I give you my purse." I said almost through tears because I was expecting the worst at this point.

"Well, I guess I'll be the only one leaving here then? -"

"No Please!" I blurted, bawling my eyes out now.

"The child has so much life left to live and doesn't deserve this. If you are to ____ anyone it will be me. And the child will be unharmed. Do you understand?"

"Oh, I understand but I will be taking that purse"

After a short pause the air changed and I heard a faint cry.

At that moment, I felt light. Not in the head but in my stomach, it also felt warm and full, nothing like I had ever felt before. I felt like I could fly. I heard a strange musical tune playing far in the distance, it felt familiar, but I'd never heard before. Just then everywhere around me became dark and I suddenly awoke in the clouds. I looked around, startled to see you weren't with me anymore and I couldn't see you. In my panic I heard a voice echoing around the non-existent walls. I turned and looked up with my mouth open, as I stood before an Angel.

"You must choose your eternal life." It boomed.

There were two gates labelled Revenge and Peace underneath the planet sized eye staring almost right through me. At this moment I came to realise I was no longer in the land of the living, and the strange man had most likely executed me on the spot. I stood in shock staring at the eye right back.

"I choose Peace, I wish to not take revenge as I practically chose to die. I wish not to burden myself" I spoke finally.

"Are you sure? You must not choose so hastily" The Angel answered me.

"Isn't this something I'm supposed to choose on my own without you intervening?"

"Yes, of course. -" The Angel was interrupted by crying, crying that I knew too well. I spun around to see your small body lying on the ground, you had one reddened wound in the centre of your forehead and your gold necklace was no longer around your neck. I looked down, and stared at the bloody hole in my stomach, and in my angry tears I started to walk towards one of the two gates. You called for me from behind, but I ignored you, your crying becoming louder because you understood what I was about to do. The gates were further the I anticipated so I broke out into a run, then a sprint and finally I leaped through the gate.

This wasn't the Peace gate though, in my rage I decided to haunt the strange man for the rest of his days. I would get my revenge for your passing. So, decorated in drapes of gold silk and leather dress, I watched the man, through a window, returning to his small suburban home and a little child and beautiful wife with two very familiar gifts.
