Minnie awoke to the chilled September air kissing at her bare legs. Seeing an empty spot on the bed next to her, she knew Arthur had gotten up earlier than her, knowing the last time he had done it was when they were on the run together. Since then, they had always woken up around the same time. Frowning, she forced herself up out of the bed, following the smell of cigarette smoke as Arthur had been sitting out on the front porch of the provided shack graciously loaned by Ms. MacFarlane herself as a gesture for an old friend. That is after Minnie had told Arthur about how she and the young ranch manager once knew each other. "Arthur?" She asked, watching him look over his shoulder at her. She could sense that he had been worrying about Isaac, Hosea, and Charles back home as she could say the same, but Arthur had always been more protective over Isaac than Minnie was for the simple fact that he was afraid of history repeating itself and taking a son away from him. "Are you okay?"

"No." He sighed.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she took a seat next to him.

"You know what's wrong. I have every reason to go up to that fort and shoot Bill myself just so that we can go home. This place - this isn't home, nor will it ever come close."

Minnie sighed, "I know, Arthur, I know. I'm worried too. I've thought about just going home to know they're alright."

"You know what they told us, darlin'. We can't just go swing by and see how they are," He huffed. "I hope Charles wrote us back."

"We can go check. Luckily for us, this ranch has everything we could need. It's a safe place, there's a store, a place to keep our horses... Definitely beneficial for us and everyone else. Better than some camp." She chuckled.

"I guess you're right." He sighed. Smiling, she stood to her feet as a sudden chill kissed her shoulders. Kissing the top of his head, the familiar smell of leather and pomade filled her nostrils before she said, "I'll write to Sadie, too. She could be a big help in us getting him."

"That's a good idea. I just don't know where she is."

"I don't either, but I can start asking around." She replied before walking back into the shack, unaware that Arthur had stood up to follow her. With her back turned towards him, he watched her briefly as she sipped the tea she had made before wrapping his arms around her waist, smirking against her neck as she leaned into his embrace.

She giggled, "We have work to do, Arthur."

"We can do that later when John comes around," He breathed. "He told me last night that he wanted to go see the sheriff in Armadillo this evening. We got plenty of time."

She turned around to face him, tucking her bottom lip between her teeth briefly as she overlooked her husband, his aquatic blue eyes staring into hers. It had been roughly three weeks since they had been intimate with each other due to overlaying work schedules and, of course, the treacherous task of having to hunt down former gang members. Much to their relief, they at least knew that Isaac was protected by Hosea and Charles at a secured location that only the agents knew of.

"You're sure?"

"I'm always sure, darlin'," He breathed as his hands gripped her rear, hoisting her up onto the table that was to his benefit as it was the perfect height. "I sure am glad you're wearin' a dress this mornin'." He admitted.

"I am too." She smiled, resting her arms on his broad shoulders, enjoying the sensation of his calloused digits making their way up her bare thighs, her core steaming hot at the thought of him sheathed inside of her.

They continued to kiss passionately, Minnie's hands exploring her husband's torso as if it were the first time as his hands made work of exposing himself to her, almost desperate to feel the familiar heat envelop him that he had been longing to feel for a few weeks. Groaning, she used her legs to pull him in closer as he took her move to be an invitation, connecting them intimately with a passionate moan as instinctively, Minnie's arms went around his neck as her mouth was slightly agape at the erotic sensation, biting her lip after hearing Arthur groan against her skin before gently pushing her back onto the table to where she was laying on her back. His palm rested against her sternum briefly before sneaking a grasp at her breasts as he thrust, keeping his gaze down at himself thrust in and out of her, smirking slightly at the beautiful sight below him. Nothing could ever compare to the intense pleasure he was feeling as if it were the first time he and his wife made love. With his hand traveling slowly down her abdomen, his thumb tracing the beautiful stretch marks left from her pregnancy with Isaac before his hand rested just at the top of her core, his thumb swiping generously at her clit.
