My train of thought drifted away fairly quickly when I made it into the school. Nothing much was different, I guess aside from my collar. Rosie gave it to me this morning, she let me pick which one I wanted to wear today, it was a pink with a gold buckle; heavy too. I felt literal tingles through my whole body when she fixed it around my neck. It matched my pleated skirt, Rosie said it was too much pink, so we had to choose an off white knitted sweater. She even brushed my hair and put bows on the small ponies she made to frame my bangs. It was odd, having someone care for me, like a kid again. She even made me eat this morning, as much as I didn't want to, she wouldn't stop watching me and I felt pressured.

"Hey!"

I jumped as a hand landed on my shoulder. I turned a bit to look but the girl just hopped right in front of me. I gripped the straps of my new backpack as my heart started to speed up. I hope I didn't accidentally I look at her or something.

"I'm sorry," I apologize and try to keep moving. I don't want Tae to see me and decide he needs a workout. The hand stopped me and I looked up, it occurred to me that my eyes had been glued to floor this whole time, since Rosie dropped me at the front door. I didn't even dare to look at the stranger's shoes for fear of her noticing, for fear of her being more mad at me.

"What?" She asked, tilting her head with a small smile. She was brunette, with green eyes, pretty too pretty to be talking to me.

"I'm sorry!" I said loud enough for her to hear. I barley met her eyes and I could see people watching as they walked past us.

"for what?" She spoke calmly, her smile didn't change but her eyebrows morphed into confusion. I shrugged my shoulders at her, I wasn't sure of anything really but I've had enough beatings to last a lifetime.

"Whatever you're going to yell at me about, I'm sorry," I tried again but this time she smiled big at me and hopped up and down in her spot for a second. I jumped back in surprise but she kept being all...happy?

"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO WAS DATING TAEMIN, I KNEW YOU LOOKED FAMILIAR!" she gleamed at me and I stood there awkwardly watching her, she didn't look familiar to me at all.

"I'm Hanna, Tae and I used be in a band together, we also played soccer, you came to all of our games, but I guess you wouldn't know me, he told us not to talk to you," she smiled and my world stopped for a second.

"He what?"

"He told us not to talk you, the whole team and such, even that poor freshman waterboy, he was really serious and at first I thought maybe you didn't like us, because we saw you at that party at Tanner's house, we played, and you didn't really do anything and after that I just never saw you around, until you broke up with that jackass," she spoke at the speed of lighting and I was struggling to keep up and I think I processed everything too slowly, because by the time I caught up she was staring at me, concerned.
I remember that party, it was the last party Tae took me to. I remember there being a pretty girl on stage but I didn't know it was her, she sang in the front of the band. Tae told me to sit in the corner and not to talk to anyone. That was easy because I didn't really want to be there and he obviously didn't want to bring me, but it was last minute and he didn't have time to drop me off at home. That was also the night Tyler Clawell got me a soda and talked to me a bit, he was sweet and I remember him making me laugh, I've forgotten the joke now, but it was funny. By the time the band was finished he had to go and Tae came down angry, at me. He dragged me out of the party and threw me into the car, he kept yelling and screaming about me being a slut and how nobody would put up with me as much as he did. He hit me, and I cried myself to sleep that night.
