Unrequited love is painful, but it is safely painful, because it does not involve inflicting damage on anyone but oneself, a private pain that is as bittersweet as it is self induced.
Safe to say that Ahmed had scratched his ankle instead of falling off the ladder. Ahmed wasn't even getting enough for appearing in a girl's window night by night.
"Thought you bailed on me", Labiba said as he sat on her bed, rubbing his ankle slightly. She looked refreshed, her short hair slightly dishevelled and her small body avoiding contact with away the huge shirt she wore.
"Do you have a bandaid?" Ahmed asked as he looked at her legs, unashamed.
"Yes, somewhere in my drawer", she bit the inside of her mouth before she took out one bandaid from the drawer next to her.
"I really thought you'd be pissed", Labiba giggled as she knelt next to him placing the bandaid on his ankle.
"I am, I really am", he seemed to like to hide his anger usually and since Leo had gotten away after the theft last week, Ahmed didn't even seem to bother anymore.
"Ferdinand was actually really hurt after the fight you started with him, I thought you were friends", she looked at him then tilted her head.
Friends don't lie and friends don't hurt people.
"Are you ever coming back to the skating rink? Perhaps on Saturday or––"
"Why did you tell me to come?" he sounded tired.
Labiba's face morphed into disappointment before she tucked a lock of her ginger hair behind her ear. Her palm was ice cold when she touched his cheek then she kissed him, they had kissed on several occasions, the first one being the drunken night where she had lost herself to him.
Labiba tasted like alcohol and smelt like cigarettes, characteristics of a girl who liked to follow the footsteps of her brother so she could be noticed. One thing Ahmed knew for sure was that the girl was scared, only he knew that, she was scared of the girls in her highschool, scared of the boys that liked her and scared of loosing her brother.
Their lips parted as she got up to her feet so she could straddle Ahmed. Ahmed would get in a hell load of trouble for what he was doing, if her brother realized or if Ferdinand found out.
Her lights were turned off but Ahmed could make out her face, the beauty mark on her right cheek and the cute dimples when she smiled, like she was doing.
"Why are you still in your uniform?" she asked as she reattached their lips while rubbing herself on him.
"Had to walk someone home after I got off the train", he said in between kisses. Labiba drew back before sucking in her swollen lip.
"Oh, a girl?" she had stopped her actions.
"Yes, are your parents home?" he didn't seem to notice the way her body moved uncomfortably.
"No", she answered as they kissed again. She gasped as she rubbed herself on him once more making him wince.
Ahmed moved to take off her shirt before dumping it on the floor. She moved to quickly cover her bare chest making him hold on to her hips, gently moving her forward.
