↳˳⸙;; ❝ D-do you want to come here?FELIX'S POV
It was getting close to the end and the boys and I were slowly cleaning up. The teacher never came back, but I was resigned to that since he said that.
"We're going then, yeah? Bye," Jeno called back. "Yeah go ahead, I'll have it too. Bye" I said as I cleaned the mic stand.
Then I turned around and saw that Sam was still standing there. "You can go, I'll finish up" "No good, you want some help?" "Thanks, but I got it" I said and went to my locker to get my stuff with Sam on my heels.
"Are you taking the bus?" "Yeah I am, why?" I looked at him and closed the locker. "Can I walk you? I'm taking the bus too. Unless you don't mind." "That's fine, you can."
So the two of us walked out, I locked the door of course, and then we could head to the bus stop.
On the way there we chatted a bit. I found out that Sam is a year older, he's in the same school as me, but he's a senior, that sort of thing.
When I got on the bus, I was surprised to see that Sam was going to the same bus stop as me.
I sat by the window and Sam sat next to me. "I didn't know you were going where I'm going" "We moved here so I live near the bus stop" he said and I looked at him. "Really? I live near the bus stop too."
"What's your house number?" I asked him. "I think... 64, why?" "64? That's the number of the house next to us on the left."
"So you're saying that-" "That we're neighbors," I didn't let him finish. "What a coincidence," he laughed. "Well, then."
The bus stopped at our stop and we both walked out. "I didn't expect us to be neighbors." I said, walking with him down the sidewalk. "Likewise, but at least I have someone to talk to and we still go to the same school." "Yeah."
"Clubs are only on Fridays?" "Yeah only on Fridays and you live here with your parents?" "Yeah I live, hey can I ask my mom and we can invite you to dinner tomorrow so we know our neighbors, how about that? Is that a good idea?" He asked and we both stopped in front of our houses.
"Okay, that sounds pretty cool. My room is that window up there" I pointed to the window on the right side.
"That's cool, I have a room across from your window. So I'll ask around and let you know somehow. Open your window and I'll call. You're staying in the room right?" "Yeah call, I'll have to go now, mom is usually on time like clockwork and I have to be home" "Okay, see you later Felix" "Bye" I said and we both walked in our own direction.
"I'm home" I called into the silence and once I took my shoes off I walked on. "Hi mom" "Hey honey, how was today? Are you hungry?" Mom asked at the kitchen counter.
"It was kind of nothing, but otherwise good. I'll get my stuff and come eat" I smiled at her and walked up the stairs to my room with my stuff.
No one in my room again... was he offended? Or what's wrong? Then why isn't he here and bothering me?
I tried to ignore it and unpacked all my stuff. I changed my clothes and after a few minutes went to the kitchen to hunt for something to eat.
I grabbed the pasta salad my mom made for lunch and sat down at the kitchen table. It was very good, it had all the tasty vegetables, some yogurt with spices, chicken and of course propeller shaped pasta.
After eating, I cleaned up and went to take a shower. I needed to run a stream of warm water on myself. Soon enough, I indulged and warm drops of water fell on my bare back. It felt nice.
When I got out of the shower, I threw the clothes back on and went to my room. I opened the window to vent, and then I put my backpack and school stuff away.
I tidied up my desk a bit more and looked around the room to see what else I could put in order. "Hey! Felix," I heard someone call out. I immediately went to the window to see Sam in the window across from me.
I opened the window wide, he was across from me in his house leaning against the windowsill. He was wearing some loose shirt and his red hair was loosely down. It was medium length.
"Hi," I said, and within moments he answered me. "Hi" he smiled at me. You might not believe it, but there was a tree down in the garden that had long branches, so it was quite possible to walk up to the other guy through the windows and the tree.
"So?" I asked "Mom's okay with it, so if you're coming over for dinner tomorrow around 7pm?" "Okay, I'll sort it out and we'll definitely come."
"Felix" came from outside my room door. "Wait I'll be right back" I called to Sam who just nodded and took a sip of something he had in his mug. I went to open my room door and see who wanted what again.
I opened it and there stood my sister, what does she want? "What do you want?" "Nothing. Mom sent you this" she said and handed me a mug of chocolate. "Okay, thanks" I took the mug, she left and I closed the door.
I walked to the window again with the mug. Sam was on the other side stroking a fleecy cat with a mug in his hand.
"Wo-won't you come in here?" I called to him and he immediately looked up at me. "May I?" "Y-yeah.. but you have to go up that tree," I pointed to the tree.
"Okay, I'll go" he said and put the cat and the cup down. I watched him the whole time to see if he could make it and not get killed anywhere. This whole thing looked like a prince going to rescue a princess in a tall tower.
Sam got up the tree and cautiously walked closer and closer. "Just don't fall, I don't want to have to explain to mom later why we have a neighbor in our backyard and stuff." "Why would I fall?" "I don't know why you would fall, I'm just warning you."
He was under my bedroom window. "Give me your hand, I'll help you." I said, holding out my hand to him. He grabbed on and then made his way into my room.
"See I didn't fall" "Oh yeah" I said and took a sip of my chocolate. "You have a nice room" "Thank you, what do you want to do?" "I don't know, you invited me here." "That's true, but I don't know. Do you want to watch something a-and somehow get to know each other more? At least now I have someone to talk to."
"We can listen to something and I'll be happy to get to know more. You're the only one I've got so far, so to speak."
"Felix!" Sister called again. "Go to hell!" "You son of a bitch, just wait" she tried to open the door, but she wasn't very good at it because I was squeezing on the door.
"Get out!" "Open up!" "I don't know why I should, get out of here, you monster!" "I'll give you a monster, you dog's ass!" "Get out of here! Or I'll open the door and throw something at you" "Wait a minute, I'll deal with you!" "Blah blah blah, yeah, get out of there"
"I see you have a lovely sibling relationship" laughed Sam. "Well... with her usually" "How about we watch this comedy?" "Sure" I said and locked the door again so the chicken wouldn't fly into the room.
I turned around and with my bad luck this time, I tripped and knocked Sam to the ground. There was a small thump as he fell to the floor and I on him. "Ouch" he hissed slightly in pain and looked at me. I slowly opened my eyes and stared into his.
"S-sorry, I'm clumsy a-and I didn't mean to" "Good, it happens." He smiled, studying my face. "You have nice freckles by the way" "Thanks"
"You have nice eyes again, nice brownish green, I like them. I've never seen anyone with eyes like that before." "Thank you" he smiled and we looked into each other's eyes for about 5 minutes, neither of us wanting to break eye contact.
Then I recovered... It was weird, lying on top of someone and looking into their eyes for a few minutes... I don't know why that happened.
"I'm gonna, um, yeah, I'm gonna get up. Are you okay?" I quickly got up off him. "Yeah I'm fine" he said, getting up and dusting off his back. "A-so let's watch the movie, huh?" "Yeah put it on" he said and we both sat on my bed and pretended nothing happened.
