FELIX'S POV

I had already told my mother, or my parents about tonight's dinner next door. They both agreed and were happy to meet their new neighbors. Meanwhile, I changed into something nice.

I was still in my room doing a bit of grooming so I wouldn't be disheveled and all. "Where are you going?" the demon spoke to me, who was once again in his favorite spot, or my bed.

"We're invited as a family next door to our new neighbors" "Oh and can I come too or?" "Do what you want, I don't really care, it's up to you" "Fine, I'll be here on your bed...sleep" "Okay, I'll go then" I said when I was ready to leave.

I ran down the stairs and waited for my parents to come running in. It didn't take long for my dad to show up and in about five minutes my mother, who always takes a while.

"And how do you know we're invited or something?" Mom asked. "I met this kid at the circle time yesterday and we became pretty good friends" "Oh, that's good" she said and together we headed out the door and then to our neighbors door.

"I could have baked a bun, never mind..." my mother said as I rang the doorbell. "Whatever" I said and within moments Sam and his mum came out.

"Hello" all three of us said almost at the same time. They both smiled at us and said hello back. "Come on in then" his mom spoke with a smile on her face.

"I'll take Felix to his room, you guys can get acquainted for now" Sam said and immediately pulled me into his room. "Your mom seems very nice" "She's very nice too" he said and once in the room he let me go. "So this is my room and that is Mikky who is currently sleeping on my bed" he pointed to the cat curled up in a ball.

"Your room is nice" "Thank you, yours is nice too" "Do you have any siblings?" "I don't know, I guess not" "I have an older sister and brother" I sat down on the smaller couch next to him. "What are we going to do?" he sat down next to me. "I don't know, what do you have in mind?" "Just nothing."

"What was it like in New York, anyway?" "Oh yeah, it was nice. I miss the friends I have there and stuff" "Oh, well, yeah" I said, lying down on the couch rather, with my head resting on the edge of the couch.

"Are you tired?" "Pretty much" "And are you cold?" "A little" I said all curled up in a ball. "So do you want a blanket or something?" "No that's fine" "Really? Your hands are shaking a bit, come here" he said and pulled me up to a sitting position by my hand. "Hm?" I looked at him and he looked back at me. And then he hugged me tightly. I suddenly felt warm in his embrace, so I hugged him back.

"I like hugs and sometimes I'm too annoying with this haha" I rested my head on his shoulder. "That's fine, I like giving hugs so just say so or jump on me" he laughed too. Suddenly I saw a little angry demon standing by the window and got scared. It literally rattled inside me.

"What's wrong?" Sam asked immediately. "E-eh nothing... I... got scared, it's okay" "Of what?" "I saw something in the window..." I lied. "Are you feeling better?" He took my face in his hands and I could already see the blood boiling in Hyunjin's... if he had any- "Yeah... shall we go downstairs?" "Mom will call us," he said, letting go of me.

And since he noticed me staring at something behind him, he turned around and stared into space. And he stayed there staring... he didn't turn around and that made me a little uneasy. "What's going on? There's nothing there right? It was probably a branch in the window" I asked. "A branch? I don't think so" he said and I saw that he was staring directly at the demon. He can't see him can he?

"So what are you looking at?" "Can't you see it?" "W-what?" I watched as he stood up and walked towards it. No way... but that's bullshit.

"This chocolate," he said, grabbing it off the shelf. "My favorite" he smiled at me. I was immediately relieved. "Oh, yeah, I've never had that."

Little did I know that when he went to the chocolate he frowned at something. I didn't see it. So I was resigned to the fact that he meant the chocolate. But who knows?

"I guess we'll have it after dinner, huh?" "Yeah, that would be reasonable" I smiled and heard the cat meow. Had he woken up already? "Look, Mikky is going to meet you" "He's beautiful" I petted him.

"Hi Mikky, you handsome" he meowed at me as if he understood. "How old is he?" "I think he's 3 years old" "I don't have any pets, but I'd like a cat too"

"Felix, Sam, dinner" my mom called and I immediately ran out. "I'll be right there, will you handle it?" "Yes" I nodded and then walked downstairs to the others.

"Nice to meet you Felix, Sam has told me about you" his mother smiled at me. "Nice to meet you too ma'am" I returned her smile. "I hear Sam will be here soon" "Nothing new" she laughed and went into the kitchen to get plates.

SAM'S POV

"I know what you're hiding Lix, and even if you think I don't, I do. I don't mean to hurt you, I mean to help you," I said quietly with Mikky on my lap.

I turned to the window but the figure was no longer standing there. "Wherever you are, just wait. I'll get you and leave Felix alone. You filthy demon," I gritted out, catching my necklace in my palm. "As my father said, I must stand up to evil and help others."

"Whether you've seen me or not, I will find you. I'm sure you'll be around Felix, but wait" "SAM!" Mom called, causing me to snap awake. "I'm coming" I put Mikky down and left with a smirk on my face.

He said the branch.. hah, definitely Lix.
