Missy woke up early the morning of the first day of school. She had a whole lot to get done before school started, and she double checked her to do list she wrote for herself the night before.

First item on the list was to start a pot of coffee.

After she finished the first item, which was an easy one, to give her a feeling of accomplishment before she attempted the second item on the list: Wake up Preston and Lyn.

Waking her two siblings up was always the most difficult task, but Missy shook off her anxiety and prepared herself for growls and objects being hurled at her head for waking up her grumpy siblings. She started with Preston knowing he was the lighter sleeper, even if he was scarier. Missy opened his door, crinkling her nose at the mess in his room. She stepped over piles of laundry, forgotten fast food bags, and a bunch of other random crap her brother never bothered to put away. "Preston wake up." Missy shook him roughly, before darting out of reach as his hand reached out to grab her arm.

"Screw you, Missy." Preston grumbled at her, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "I have an alarm set, I didn't need you."

"Pres, the alarm went off at 3 am. I had to come in here and turn it off. I don't know how you slept through it."

"Oh, I thought it was a part of the dream I was having," Missy watched as a smirk grew on her older brothers face. "It was a pretty awesome dream."

"Ew!" Missy groaned, her face scrunching up in disgust. "I really don't need to hear this. Get up, shower, get dressed, then come help with breakfast. I'm going to go get ready before I wake Lynnie up."

"Why can't she be the first one you wake up?" her brother complained as he stretched in bed.

"Because, you're the adult, and also because the middle school starts later anyway, so it makes sense that she sleeps in longer." Missy told her brother sternly as she made her way to the door. "And you need to clean this mess up, it's disgusting."

"Whatever you say, Artemis."

Missy poured herself a cup of coffee and filled the cup up with sweetener and creamer before she walked back upstairs to her room. She drank her coffee as she got ready, brushing her hair and fixing her naturally wavy hair. She applied light pink lip gloss, mascara, and concealer to cover her breakouts. She then got dressed, putting on a thin white skirt with pink and orange flower patterns with a burnt orange baby tank. She debated before throwing on one of her brothers old zip up hoodies, a brown one that he gave to her a few years ago. It hung off her body loosely, and she left it unzipped so it didn't swallow her completely. She put on her beat up white sneakers and inspected the outfit, making sure that her underwear wasn't visible, and seeing just how far she was allowed to bend before flashing anybody behind her. Missy, grabbed her back pack double checking she had all the supplies she needed, and checked off a few more items on her to do list. By the smell of eggs wafting into the room, she knew Preston was getting breakfast ready already and she hurried to Lyn's room, knowing the young werewolf would be extremely upset if she had to eat cold eggs.
