I was walking back to Mr. Tumnus house to check how he was doing because I didn't have friends my age, I couldn't train yet, and there wasn't much else to do.
When I arrived at his house, his windows had been smashed, his door had been kicked in, and his furniture had been toppled over. Tumnus was apprehended. My only friend has been captured. I collapse to the ground and sobbed.
Protecting that family....Protecting Lucy. I wanted to be angry, but I couldn't; he told me that was his job, but I still don't get it.
I stopped whimpering when I heard rustling and arguing. "I've got something stuck in my back." was said by someone. "Isn't it cold?" The voice said again, as I approached the ruckus. Another person spoke, and it sounded like a girl maybe older.
"Now that you mentioned it, it's cold." A boys voice said. Is this Lucy's family? "What is going on here?"
I walked around the enormous trees to get a better look at them: a tall woman with brown hair, a tall boy with blonde hair, and finally a small boy with brown hair. all trying to come out the wardrobe, as Lucy had stated. "Oh God." Said the older girl. They all turned and looked at her "We're outside, and in the snow." She said.
"by God, you're right." I kept staring at them, trying to figure out what was about them that was so special, that it needed protecting. No children have visited in a long time, as far as I'm aware.
"Impossible.." the older girl said.
"You all have just entered Narnia." I murmured to myself.
"I can't believe it. We're so sorry, Lucy, is it possible for you to forgive us all?" Said the older boy. As he bended down to hug Lucy, "I don't know if the apology would help, but this will." She said, pelting everyone with snowballs. "Oh, you're going to get it. Said the older boy.
I was happy for a moment as I watched them play with each other; I don't get to spend nearly as much time with time with siya as I used to. She is constantly training.
"Wait I have an idea, remember Mr. Tumnus I told you guys about. Let's go see him."
My eyes burned with hot tears thinking about my friend that got taken away because of them, and they don't even know it. I try not to blame little Lucy it's not her fault but for some reason her being here is a threat to the Wench.
"In this weather? I'm freezing!" Said the older boy. The older girl went back towards the wardrobe and grabbed coats out and passed them around, "here you go. I'm sure professor wouldn't mind."
I laughed a little at the younger boy getting the girl coat, he seems to be always throwing a fit. I walked behind some trees as I followed them until I almost fell and I think Lucy saw me but she didn't say anything as she stared in my direction.
"What are you looking at, Lu?" She looked back in my direction and smiled "oh, nothing it's probably a squirrel." He laughed and told her to lead the way. Apart of me is still thankful she kept her promise.
When we finally reached back to Tumnus cave my heart sank again, he was gone and I couldn't do anything.
"What is this?" The boy said picking up the parchment left by the Wench
"There's writing on it, what's it say." Said the older girl.
