"Are you ready?" John, the barber, asked. Steve nodded, his heart racing. John turned the chair, and Steve gasped at what he saw in the mirror. He saw a stranger in his reflection, but he also knew him all too well. Happy tears came to his eyes again. He looked at the barber with a smile. "Thank you, thank you for helping me find him." The barber smiled and nodded. "You take care of your boyfriend, young man, he's a keeper." He motioned to Eddie, who'd drifted to sleep on a couch in the waiting room. Steve chuckled, running a hand through his now short hair. Joy sparked in him at those two words. Young man. He paid John with a generous tip and walked over to his sleeping boyfriend. "Hey Eds, are you alive?" Eddie stirred and sat up, taking a moment to register where he was. When he saw Steve, his eyes widened and a blush came to his cheeks. "You're very handsome, you know that?" He took Steve's hand as they walked out of the store. "Really?" "Yes Love, and you best believe it, because I'm gonna remind you everyday until you do." Eddie dragged him through the mall. They came to a store called. 'Stonewall'. He looked at Eddie with confusion. "Just come on." He followed his boyfriend into the small shop.
Steve's jaw dropped. The walls were covered In trans coloured clothes, and every other rainbow flag that existed. He let go of Eddie's hand and ran to a shelf that had t-shirts on it. "Look!" He held up two white shirts. One said 'I have a trans boyfriend' and the other one said 'I'm that trans boyfriend'. Eddie grinned and approached the person at the counter. They shared a whispered conversation, well Steve examined everything in the store. "Hey Stevie! I've got something for you to try on." Steve ran to his lover's side. Eddie held up what looked like a small white tank top, but it was bathing suit material. "What is it?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "It's your first Binder." Eddie grinned.

Eddie dropped Steve off at home, and helped him carry bags of clothes into the house. They'd also got milkshakes on the way home. Steve was already wearing his new Binder, and a bright smile was permanently plastered on his face. Eddie helped him take all the clothes from his closet and put them in garbage bags to be donated. They hung up all his new clothes, and put on his new marvel bedsheets. Steve was so happy, he couldn't describe the feeling rushing through his veins.
He stood in the hall as Eddie put on his shoes and got ready to leave. Suddenly, Steve engulfed him in a hug. "I love you so much Eddie, thank you." Eddie hugged him tightly, giggling. "You know I'll always love you, no matter what, right?" Steve pressed his lips to Eddie's. Eddie's hands gently rested his hands on his waist, and Steve's arms wrapped around his neck. The kiss was deep and passionate, but love loving and gentle. They didn't kiss like this often, another thing that had faded over time, but Steve made a silent vow to kiss Eddie more often, because it still sent butterflies fluttering in his stomach, and chills down his spine. They pulled apart, smiling. "Goodbye darling, I'll text you later." He pressed one final peck to Steve's lips and disappeared out the door. He stood there for a moment, his brain still registering the events of the day.

Steve was sitting in the kitchen eating cereal when the front door opened and Simon walked into the room. He froze and his jaw dropped when he saw Steve, who gulped and looked down at his food. "Sandy? What did you do to your hair?!" He gasped. Sudden anger flooded Steve. "That's not my name." He stood up, pouring his cereal into the trash can. Simon was silent for a minute. "Then what is your name?" This surprised Steve, he hadn't expected his brother to even care. "Steve. My name is Steve." He rinsed his bowl and put it in the dishwasher. "Ok Steve, why don't we talk?" Steve was once again surprised by his brother's actions. His brother sat him down in the living room, a puzzled expression on his face. "Sand- Steve. Are you a boy now?" Simon took a deep breath, sitting across from Steve. "Yea..." Steve nodded. Tears came to Simon's eyes. Steve was worried he was going to yell, but instead he took another deep breath and whispered "how come you never told me? I could have helped you." Simon stood and sat beside his brother. Steve swallowed, relief filling him. "I guess I just thought you'd hate me..." Steve admitted, looking at his feet. "How could I hate you, you're my little brother!" Simon pulled him into a hug.
Happy tears streamed down Steve's face for the millionth time that day, and it felt like everything was finally the way it should be. That is, until the front door opened again, and their mother called out to them.
I feel like I don't need to describe Steve's hair. Anyway, have a good day :)
