The Ares cabin yelled in excitement and ran away like a herd of sheep. Sunoo grabbed Renjun's arm and dragged him off, leaving Renjun to be pulled away to curse out Jaemin in the process.

The woods were quiet for a moment and just as Jaemin was about to ask what was going on, he realized that the remaining three got just as excited.

"Don't just stand there, let's go!" Donghyuck grinned and grabbed Jaemin's arm, nails digging into his skin before running off with him, Chenle, and Jisung in tow.

"Not again!" Jisung groaned, running with small steps behind the others.

"What's the deal with them? Why are we running?" Jaemin asked as Donghyuck dragged him through the woods and back to the hill.

Donghyuck's smile was wide as he ran down the path, still holding Jaemin's hand. "They're exes and every time they fight, it's awesome! Someone almost died last time!"

Jaemin was stunned. People here were so invested in drama that somebody almost died? Man, he really hoped Donghyuck was bluffing or exaggerating at the least.

"Donghyuck? What's going o-" Jaemin started, before being dragged back up the hill towards the cabins. A crowd was formed and Donghyuck tugged Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung towards the back, where only a few campers stood around.

There was chatter, excitement amidst the ongoing argument. Jaemin's assumed it was between the ex-lovers, which were the two boys that everyone stood around.

The taller boy stared forwards from behind his fringe of dark hair. He was lanky- awkwardly so, as his arms reached nearly to his knees. There was a large crowd amassed around him already, as opposed to the few people around Jaemin and the shorter boy.

The shorter boy in question had sharp fingernails painted black. He wore the standard orange camp tee, but the rest of his clothes were dark, baggy, and long, as if it weren't the hottest summer Jaemin could remember. His eyes were a piercing green and he didn't seem to blink, only glaring seriously. Jaemin had honestly never seen such intense stares and he lowkey wondered who win in a staring contest.

The thing that really shocked Jaemin about him, through, were the blonde snakes that hissed atop the shorter boy's head in place of hair. At the ends and the roots were slithering creatures that made Jaemin's heart race faster. He would have missed it if he wasn't up close enough but unmistakably, there were reptiles where a head of healthy locks should be.

"How many times do I have to tell you to fuck off and leave Mark alone?" The snake-boy yelled, his body language becoming increasingly aggressive. There was a pause amongst the clearing before the lanky boy spoke.

"When you finally leave the camp and -you yourself- fuck off, Yuta. The boy across from them stared coolly forwards, not getting worked up.

Jaemin recognized Mark next to the first boy, Yuta. Mark was fiddling with his camp tee and lanyard and really looked like he'd rather be anywhere but between the two.

Yuta yanked the other boy by the collar suddenly (or, what could be considered a collar) and snarled, their faces only inches apart.

"I'll fuck you up, Sicheng. Do NOT test me-"

"Hey! Heechul said that if you guys fight the way you did last summer, he's gonna kick you both out of camp." Kun reminded, standing around with another boy who looked sickly and thin compared to him.

The sickly boy next to Kun rolled his eyes. "What a buzzkill." He muttered, though it was loud enough for the entire glade to hear.

The shorter boy with the long blonde hair of snakes rolled his eyes and let go of Sicheng's collar. He stepped closer to the other boy, still scowling.
