i came home from my doctors appointment feeling sad and overwhelmed after the doctor told me my liver was failing and i didn't have much time left unless i would get donated a liver that matches mine. coming through the door my boyfriend Eddie pulled me into a hug and gave me a quick peck on the lips. he soon realized i wasn't feeling well and asked me what was wrong.
'are you okay darling? you seem down today'
'eddie baby.. the doctor told me my liver was failing and i need a donator but there aren't any available till next year and it's only february'
'oh baby don't woory everything will be okay'
'no eddie i'm sick and tired of people telling me it will be okay when it obviously won't. look at me, i'm dying.'
'look baby we'll find a solution, trust me'
'i don't know eddie'
'wait you said you need a liver that matches yours but you only need a part of one right?'
'i guess..'
'maybe i have your blood type and can donate it'
'won't you like die?'
'noo baby it's just a part, i'm gonna be fine'
'you're such a goofball, why on earth would your liver be the right one'
'let's just check it out'
a few days later we went to the doctor to let our blood types get checked and luckily eddie had the sane one. the doctors watched if it matched mine and i still believe it was a miracle but it matched. today is the day of the operation and i am very nervous but eddie is there for me and is comforting me.
'it'll be okay love, we're gonna get through this and live a happy life together with mini me's and you's running around our house in a couple of years.'
'you're right eddie, i'm stressing over nothing'
he nodded softly while caressing my hot cheeks and holding my hand with his other one. just his touch made me feel comfortable.
as the doctor came in he gave us our anesthesia and we passed out soon after.
after a few hours i woke up to bright light shining everywhere and a monitor beeping next to me. i looked over and saw eddie still sleeping peacefully.
the doctors ran a few checks and told me everything went without any problems. i was so touched knowing a part of eddie's liver was now in me. he soon woke up and just said.
'i knew you were my soulmate the day i met you, even our livers match'
i never felt so happy in my life. he saved me on the last minute.
