~1989~

Serenity............. Is describe as a state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled. Capella only wishes some form of her life replicated serenity. She often imagined that her middle name be that marvelous word because then something in her life would reflect what she wished. But to much of her dismay nothing in her life reflects any of her hopes and dreams. The life of Capella Eltanin Malfoy was all planned out for her by the age of three.

Everything was perfect at the age of three, she remembers everything. She could run and play in the front lawn, their back gardens. The Malfoy parents were always too busy doing something else with their time to take care of their daughter.

But after Halloween of 1981, the life of little three-year-old Capella changed. Suddenly everything was about Draco and her. Seems that that's why this year. She thought everything was gonna change. See, Capella was now 11 and she knew what that meant. That meant she could go to Hogwarts and get away from her parents' constant hovering and rules. The foreseeable future would be different.

Capella was packing her trunk ready to get on the train when she hears her doors opening. She stiffens up, standing tall as she turns around. She lightens up a little when she sees none other than Draco and the house elf that she beloved, Dobby. "Mistress Capella, Master Draco was crying-" Dobby was speaking until Draco interrupted, "No I wasn't!" "Sorry Dobby was wrong, Master Draco was sulking in his room saying that he would miss Mistress Capella when she was off at Hogwarts," Dobby finishes his sentence without the interruption.

"Thank you, Dobby, you may leave now." Capella says while watching Dobby let go of Draco's hand and closing the door behind him. Capella turns back around to her chest. "Draco, you know father and mother would not like that you are upset over something so little," she says pain in every word. Draco is young and somewhat innocent, Capella has taught Draco well on her own on how not to get in trouble with their parents, no matter how much these lessons hurt her.

"I know Capella, but it's just........ I don't want you to go, I'll miss you, and, and I can't deal with mother and father on my own until Christmas. I need you here with me, please," Draco cries with tears streaming down his face. Capella turns to her little brother and kneels down to his height. "You will be just fine, like you said I will be back for Christmas, and you can send me letters all the time, I swear I will answer."

Capella knows deep down that her leaving before Draco will hurt him in more ways than one. But she can't defy her parents. For this is step number three in her parents eight step plan for her life and she was not going to be the one to mess up their plans.

Draco runs and clings onto his sister. "But I will see you at Hogwarts when I get there when I'm 11 right?" Draco asks while holding his sister tighter. Capella gives in and hugs Draco back. "Yes, when you turn 11 you can and will come to Hogwarts with me," she says. Just then the door opens, and, in a flash, Capella wipes Draco's tears and let's go of the hug to face the door.

There stood their father, Lucius Malfoy. "Children, it is time to bring Capella to the station," And just like that he was gone again. "Thank you," Draco meekly says before following their father out. Capella finished up her last things and had Dobby bring her trunk down the stairs.

In the foyer she sees her mother, father, and Draco waiting for her. "Is that really what you are going to wear to the station dear?" her mother, Narcissa says, hoping that Capella will choose the right answer. "No mother, I was just bringing my trunk down then I was going to change really quick," the poor girl says before rushing upstairs and changing into a more "sensible" outfit.

Back down the stairs she goes to face her parents and brother once again. "Much better Capella, you should have gotten it right the first time," comes Narcissa.

Capella smiles at her mother as she nods agreeing, "I am sorry mother and father I know I disappointed you," Capella looks down to avoid her parents' gaze. "Let's go or else you'll be late," her father spits and puts his hand in the center of the group for everyone to grab on to.

In an area inside Kings Cross. On the magical platform 9 3/4, the Malfoy family makes their debut, when their daughter is finally of age to attend Hogwarts. Once in front of the train, Lucius nods at his daughter. "Let me just say Capella. We have eyes everywhere at Hogwarts, everything you do we know about. So don't try anything that you weren't allowed to do at home. Your punishment will be even worse if you do," as Lucius finishes Mr. Flint and his son walk over to the family.

"Hello Lucius, and family. Why are you here today?" he asks her father. "Oh, why our oldest is of age for Hogwarts now," Lucius nods towards Capella. "Oh, why that is splendid! My boy Marcus is going into his second year! Maybe he could show her around the school and be her friend for the meantime?" Mr. Flint looks towards the boy standing next to him, which Capella assumed was Marcus. "That would be marvelous Aries, could we possibly discuss something off to the side here for a second." As Lucius says this, he is guiding Mr. Flint away from the group and out of hearing range.

"Hi, I'm Marcus Flint, and you are?" Marcus says, putting his hand out to shake. "I'm Capella Malfoy. It is very nice to meet you." Capella shakes the hand that was offered as the men come back. "Alright time to get on the train you too, have a nice time see you at Christmas." Lucius says as he pushes the kids on the train.

Capella got on the train with Marcus and looked around the train. Marcus looks back at Capella confused, "Are you coming or what?" "Oh, you want me to sit with you? I know our fathers want us to be friends, but we don't have to," Capella starts rambling worried she offended the boy. "Look, I know our fathers' said things, but you need to keep your head up being a Malfoy and all. Yes, I want you to come sits with me and my friends! But, to survive you need to not care what people want you to do. Just do what you please and you will be the head of this school in no time" Marcus finishes his inspirational speech and leads Capella to a compartment with two young boys and a young girl sitting in it.

"Hello, Lucian, Peregrine and Gemma! How were your summers?" Marcus greets the group of people. "Oh Marcus! We thought you were lost or something! Look what the cat dragged in? Marcus, who's the young girl you brought with you!" The girl Capella would once again assume was Gemma squalls excitedly at Marcus. "Oh, Capella this is Lucian Bole, Peregrine Derrick, and Gemma Farley." Marcus gestures to each new person.

"And who might you be, Capella? We sure she would fit in with us Marcus?" Peregrine asks. "Oh, trust me she will fit right in Peregrine." Marcus stands up for your honor. "Oh, come on Marcus you haven't let the poor girl get a word in, tell us Capella darling who are you?" Lucian asks, looking at Capella along with everyone else.

"Um, I am Capella Malfoy, it's nice to meet you all." she musters up her courage to say merely her name. "No way the Malfoy's finally have their oldest at Hogwarts!" Peregrine grins while admiring her Malfoy features.

"Would you look at the blonde as ice hair, the cold blue eyes, we are looking at the Malfoy replica!" Peregrine exclaims. "Alright let's not nitpick the new girls look yea?" Gemma says as she stands up and walks over to Capella, "Would you like to sit next to me?" she gestures to the seat she was in and the one next to it.

"Yea that would be lovely." Capella shyly answers while she sits down. "With more confidence Malfoy, we will definitely have to work on that on the way." Marcus says as he sits down next to Capella making her sit in the middle seat.

"Honestly, you are meek little Malfoy" Lucian responds agreeing with Marcus. "I am not meek; I merely just haven't talked to anyone outside the Mansion before." Capella stands up for herself. "You've never talked to a person your age before?" Gemma asks, concerned.

"No, other than my brother Draco, but he is nine years old so he will be at Hogwarts in two years, and the maids and house elves obviously aren't around my age." Capella says thinking this is all normal.

"That is quite odd, we have all been friends for years, even before we went to Hogwarts." Peregrine says looking confused and concerned.

"Well, there's always room for something new, so friends are something I will work on!" Capella says giving Peregrine a mean look. "Oh, she is definitely a Slytherin Malfoy." Lucian smiles and laughs.

Soon the entire compartment erupts into laughter.
