"Well, we really don't care what we have, but as we already have a boy we would love a little girl to complete our family. As long as they are healthy, the baby can be any gender." Kongpob answered, Arthit nodding along.

"Let's get back to eating now, shall we?" Preeda said, motioning to the table. They all migrated back to their seats with Kongpob helping Arthit move his chair back to make room for his belly now that the people in the room knew.

"So, I am assuming that you didn't want to say anything about the baby until the first trimester was over." Hom inquired.

"Yes. Well, partly. We didn't want to say anything and something happen to the baby. But also, we were nervous about how you would take the news." Kongpob answered after placing a hand on Arthit's lap. He could tell that his older partner was tense again.

"Oh. Why would you be nervous about that? We love Fiat, so another baby is welcome." Preeda asked, but before Kong or Arthit could answer, Arthit's dad piped up.

"I assume the nerves were due to asking us to help take care of the new baby as well as Fiat while you finish school and interning. Is that correct?"

Kongpob and Arthit nodded.

Kerkkai barked out a laugh. "You two were really afraid that we were going to tell you no about helping take care of your new baby. Even though we haven't had any problem nor have we complained about caring for Fiat. We love having him here. And we will be happy to meet and care for the new baby too."

"Of course!! We know you didn't intend for this to happen, but since it has, we are perfectly fine with helping you until you can take care of them yourselves.
Plus, we love having Fiat here and we will love the new baby, too." Preeda agreed.

Arthit looked at Kongpob with a smile. They both nodded, clearly understanding that their parents were excited for something new to come into their lives, especially since it was another grandchild.

The next several minutes were silent as they all began eating, except for Fiat who was playing in his food as much as he was eating it. Kongpob and Arthit both smiled as they watch their oldest show his mischievous side. Some of the food went flying and hit Arthit in the face. The whole room laughed at the antics of the little boy.

"When is your next appointment to check on the baby? Also, I forgot to ask but are you taking your vitamins as you should be? Are there any special circumstances the doctor has mentioned because of your outside development? I mean, I know you've gone through this before but as you said, every pregnancy is different. So has the doctor mentioned anything different this time besides you carrying bigger?" Preeda piped up with a barrage of questions as Arthit cleaned up his son's mess.

The questions were coming in so fast Arthit didn't have a chance to answer, until his father stepped in and interrupted to remind her that he couldn't answer if she didn't stop talking. She glared at her husband for interrupting her, but then smiled when she realized he was right.

"Yes, mom. I am taking my vitamins, and I am eating as I'm told. As for anything the doctor mentioned, nothing so far but he said he'd be keeping an eye on the development of the baby and making sure I stay healthy as well. And don't worry, one of us will tell you if there's anything you need to know, or that develops during this pregnancy." Arthit laughingly answered.

With a nod, the discussion turned to more mundate things as well as daily issues the students went through. Homework, peers, teachers, and friends. Both sets of parents wanted to know how each of their friends would take the news of the new baby.

They both braced themselves as they told their parents they had already told Arthit's friends. They explained how they reacted and how they were offended that the couple thought they wouldn't want to help them with the baby.
