Chapter 1

Camron stared out the window of the car, watching the houses go by. Normal kids lived in those houses. Normal kids who didn't get bullied so much that they couldn't ride the bus, normal kids who could talk. He wasn't one of them. Nathon had music playing from the radio, Camron could feel the vibrations from the speaker next to his leg. He wished he could listen to music. Maybe then he'd know what happiness felt like. Everyone always acted like music made them so happy, he just wanted to try it, just once. But no, he was damned to this miserable existence. As they pulled up to the school Camron spotted Adam almost immediately, he was getting off the bus. Camron glared at him through the window, not that he saw. Camron hated him with every cell in his body, he just wanted to hurt him so bad, but Nathon said that hurting people was bad, and he didn't want to disappoint his adoptive father. Nevertheless, it was tempting to shock Adam sometimes. Camron opened the door and got out. "Have a good day Camron, if anything goes wrong, just go to the office and they'll call me ok?"Nathon said, he looked worried. Camron nodded, hiding his annoyance. There was no way he was going to go to the office, he wasn't stupid. He'd just be more of a loser if he did that. Nathon gave him a hug and then left. Camron waited a moment to go inside, wondering if he could ditch school and find somewhere else to go. But that would be disappointing, and Camron didn't want to be disappointing. With a sigh he walked inside, ready to go through hell again.
