XIII

After Kayori had left the pizzaria, William did nothing but cry in his office alone. He heard knocks to his office door, and expecting it to be kayori, he wiped his tears, but his best smile on his face, and opened the door.

“Hello d- MICHAEL WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?!?” William Yelled

“Nothing! I swear! we were talking to her, and she passed out!” Michael replied. 

“She looks different- like- thinner than before? Also those eyebags. She kind of looks a lot more like you then she already did.” Reki Retorted, twiddling her thumbs.

“Hmm, hand her over.” William stated, and Michael transferred Kayori from his arms, to William's arms.  

William ran his hand across kayori’s forehead.

“cold…” He muttered. 

William inspected her features with a look of confusion on his face, until…. it clicked. He saw a tear shaped scar on her neck.

“It most likely has to do with me reviving her. maybe it injected some of my DNA and traits into her.”

“Well what are we going to do?!?” Reki exclaims, fidgeting with her skirt 

“Leave her to rest I guess..?” Michael answers, and William nods in agreement.

“Ok then.” Michael states, “see you later kay..” Michael sighs, grasps her hand, and then walks out of the room with Reki.

The pizzeria was a wreck. Ako, Mint, Hato, and Keebo did NOT know what they were doing. They needed help. Hell, they hadn't seen Kayori, Michael, and Reki on the job since the fall out between them all. 

William didn't tell them what to do, they all needed a break. Plus, they were being paid minimum wage to do this. "Guys, I think we should quit." Hato suggested. Ako disagreed. "We should at least show William what kind of a jerk he is first. That old man needs some toning down." 

"I guess you're right. But you should be careful." A familiar voice said. The four looked back to be met with Reki. 

"You're still alive?" Mint quickly questions, not realizing how stupid that sounded. "Sadly and surprisingly, yes. I am." The girl smiles awkwardly. "And if you're planning on taking… him down. Good luck. I'll try to help.”

"Thanks a lot. I didn't know you weren't just a pathetic worthless bottle of emotion!" Ako snarled. 

“whatever..” Reki replied, and wandered off into the pizzaria. 

William had been starting at kayori. confused. super confused. When would she wake up? no one could tell. but he’d hope it would be soon. 

He held her clammy and cold hand. His creation really caused this? He thought hard. Why did he make these creations anyways? This was a thought for another time. He decided to go back to working on his plans for a new animatronic.
